I am going to actually recommend you to stick with the PS3 which has warranty. I am not too sure if the 80GB version has a problem or not. Probably other members can guide you with this.

If you want to connect your PS3 to the lcd monitor, you would need an HDMI-DVI cable also your monitor should support HDCP over DVI else it won't work.

Cyclops is correct, but I think bigger hard disk matters to him,

so its better to get 60/80 GB frm grey market, and avoide PS2 if he wants.

Chaz bhai...PS3 can be customised...so why go for 60/80 when u can put a 500GB hard disk in it ??? :eyebrow2:

the hard disk will cost another 5.5K max

I knw brother, bt the person who is asking the question doesnt..!!

and playing PS2 games is another concern for him, so i think grey market 80GB sld be best for him..as ppl talk a lot about 60GB probs.

Edited n added: or 40GB PS3 nd PS2.

I personally like to stay away from the grey market...PS3s don't die...but if u fall in one of the minority people then if u have a legit PS3 it always helps...thats why I preferred taking the 40GB version legit.

But if u know people who go to US regularly then 80 GB NTSC is the best choice

...just my 2 paise

I'm also planning to get a modded PS2
