^ Yeah exactly.

Its kinda sad that companies and retailers over here don't provide any extension to warranty where one can just buy the extra warranty except for PC companies and Apple.

Just wait and watch. I am 100% sure once the new PSN store is introduced, they will very soon introduce PS2 games for downloads.

Once they allow that, i will then get a 2.5" 250GB HDD and do the mod. It makes more sense why they never introduced b/c in 40GB SKU .

But what about people like me who have 40GB PS3...all those PS2 downloads wont be of any use :cry5:

I dunno tbh but i am sure they are working something on this.

They could have still enabled software emulation for PS3 40GB. Its not like they are bundling EE of PS2 in the sku

I really hope they figure out this software emulator sh*t for the 40GB version... :boxing:

@AtheK How much for the quad core...MOBO and 2 x 2GB RAM...under 35K ???

Yes picked Processor in Intel employee scheme through a friend so got it almost at 50% discount...Otherwise it would have been much expensive.

Hey Guys,

Just wondering how serious and real the so called SoD problem is? I own a 60Gig NA version PS3 for about 10 months now and it still works fine. Do we have any kind of stats for the failure rate? or its just a rumor from crapbox fanboys?

60gig version is suppose to be the best build.

Thanks a lot for that link. I read it.. also, followed the link to Playstation 3 official forum that was in the IndianVideoGamer post. It looks like very few people encountered this problem I mean there are always gonna be few comsoles which will may develop a snag. Anyways, its individual opinion. I am extreamly happy with my 60 Gig NA version.
