Forget that this f**king company still requires you to subscribe to their paid online services to even play f2p game's like Apex, fortnite etc. And their brain-dead zombies were lecturing sony on cross play.

Cross play?? Hasn't everyone been talking about ps now and gamepass? Or did I miss something?

You remember Some people here were saying that Sony will never do cross play coz why would they help Xbox inflate their Xbox live numbers.  And here we are Sony slapped on the face of all ponies and now openly adopting cross play. Lol

And Next is day and date launch of first party exclusives on PS Now which will also be available on PC. You can play God of war on PC atm if you have good internet. (God of war is multiplat now, not exclusive anymore huehue :P)

Day and date release is not happening now coz of which PS Now service is worthless for us hardcore gamers who buy all big exclusives at launch, but that doesn't mean Sony will never release exclusive day and date in future. Just like Sony adopted cross play, they will release PS exclusives on PC or console for 1$ day and date

I personally not a fan of this streaming future and hate it personally but all companies will adopt this model next gen.

Yes and please feel free to let us know when that happens. Till that time there's still only one company that feels the need to do that, and that is the one that's so far behind they're literally trying to catch their own asses.

Almost Xbox quality. :P

1 week free trial, you can finish it. Not bad for small screen. 720p.

Not bad at all. Ofcourse it's not the ideal way but it's better than buying whole console.  Azure sure working great for Sony.

Alpha hardcore pc gamer. He can enjoy ps4 exclusives now.

I dont understand, by making PS4 blockbuster exclusives like God of War and Uncharted 4 available on PC, isnt Sony killing their next-gen console, and the remaining active life-span of the PS4/

Most PS4 Gamers have the PS4 only because of the stellar exclusive games. Thats the sole factor for me at least.

PS Now isn't new. PC players can play PlayStation exclusives for years now. It's just that you have to stream and the quality is terrible. 720p blurry mess.

Man if Spiderman 2 comes to subscription day one, get ready to spend $10 on each suit or spend 200+ hrs grinding to get them all. People really took stuff in Spiderman like free suits for granted, but all you have to do is look at competition and how they nickel n dime with cosmetics just because 'iTs JuSt CoSmEtIcS' and 'iTs OnLy $1'.

Stuff from the article.

- Today I’m proud to share that our next-generation console will be called PlayStation 5, and we’ll be launching in time for Holiday 2020.

- To that end, there are two key innovations with PlayStation 5’s new controller. First, we’re adopting haptic feedback to replace the “rumble” technology found in controllers since the 5th generation of consoles. With haptics, you truly feel a broader range of feedback, so crashing into a wall in a race car feels much different than making a tackle on the football field. You can even get a sense for a variety of textures when running through fields of grass or plodding through mud.

- The second innovation is something we call adaptive triggers, which have been incorporated into the trigger buttons (L2/R2). Developers can program the resistance of the triggers so that you feel the tactile sensation of drawing a bow and arrow or accelerating an off-road vehicle through rocky terrain. In combination with the haptics, this can produce a powerful experience that better simulates various actions. Game creators have started to receive early versions of the new controller, and we can’t wait to see where their imagination goes with these new features at their disposal.

  • Bluepoint is working on a "big game" right now for PS5
  • The UI of the PS5 is radically different than the PS4's in that it will give you updates of in-game activities/missions you can do next and rewards received from them as well as the option to join matches in games (not just ones with friends) without booting the game first
  • Ray-tracing support is in the hardware and is not a software solution
  • The SSD not only improves load times, but PS5 titles will support modular installation (such as only installing the single-player and or multiplayer, or removing one or the other when you're done with it)
  • The aforementioned haptic tech on controllers also comes with a "better speaker" and a larger battery, meaning the controllers will be heavier but "not has heavy as an Xbox One controller with batteries"

E3 going to be a blast. :wOOtjumpy:

Making games and designing levels for the SSD from ground up instead of making sh*t "forward compatible" to include hardware from 2013

Also there's a PS5 version of Gran Turismo Sport that uses programmable triggers and haptic feedback.
