Anyway, This is my playtime just for Gears 4 (Considering I started playing this game from Aug 2018 played till Gears 5 launch). I have been playing Gears since Gears 1. If you combine all my Gears playtime (Gears 1,2,3,4,5 {didn't bother playing Judgement as it was Trash}) it would be easily more than 8000+hrs. In Gears 5 right now i have around ~300 hours. And currently I am in Masters tier which is the highest rank in Gears 5 (For playlist TDM, 2v2 Gnasher) and Diamond 3 in KOTH. And i still don't consider myself a biggest Gears fan. Because the guy (very good friend of mine; he's from Spain) with whom I am comparing my stats in the screenshot is maxed out in all games modes And according to leaderboards this currently sits at World #1 in TDM , KOTH. 

 

And in Gears 4 I have prestige'd till 17 out 20. (Means my rank is 1756). I have never bothered playing horde because its too boring.

Gears 5 I have prestige'd till 9 out 20. (981 to be exact)


P.S. All stats are from RANKED Matches btw.

Let's see. This lockdown has really made me excited for next gen.

A console is only as good as its games. MS destroyed XBoneX and all its raw power thanks to the lack of exclusives.

 

Nintendo has totally nailed it with the switch. THe system has such a vast diversity of exclusive games, and most are available physically.

 

I think going forward, if MS does not do a rapid course correction, it would become the Sega of this generation. I think now sony is not even competing with MS, rather it is competing with nintendo .

 

MS needs to go back the the original xbox era (strategy), when it comes to exclusives

Days Gone trash ? Hahaha, No. Even if you compare gears 5 to days gone as a game, DG blows gears 5 out of the water. Gears 4 was a much better game.

Days gone is a must play game of this gen.

But I keep reading about the secret sauce on Sony's side now. - The I/O complex(and Tempest engine) 

 

May be Xbox has the faster Engine but PS5 seems to have better aerodynamics.

 

I wouldn't yet write it off yet as weaker console until comparisons pop up once games are released.

Haha. You need to be updated. You are giving out wrong information. 
 

PS Now launched in 2014 so it’s been 6 years and couple of months. 
 

And yes it reached 1million subscribers as of Oct 2019

 

 

Now the  most important reason why it has less player base because PS Now is compatible with DualShock 4 Controllers. Those who play on PC would prefer to buy Xbox One Controller over DualSchock4.  

 

As you can see officially Sony doesn’t allow third party controllers.

 

But there is a way to play on PS Now using Xbox One controller or something similar (using third party application) but not all PS4 games can be played. Only older games or those who doesn’t require touchpad or sixth axis motion controlling. 

For example in “until dawn” you get stuck after the first scene when you need to do gesture on touchpad to unlock the phone.

 

Currently there is (as far as I know) no way to use touch pad functionally with different controllers. So, buying a ps4 controller  just to play games in streaming is a bit too much. 

 

Now you know the reason why it has less player base.

Nah, I pray auteurs like Kojima never get reigned in, Company’s like Sony must support such creative people, otherwise the medium will not evolve.

I never spend 2000 hours on one game. I start getting bore lol  

 

And i said one of the biggest not biggest here. I never gonna spend 3000 hours in any game.lol

 

Funny you played so much Gears and still trashing it. Why would anyone spend so much time on trash game? Only a stupid will call game trash after spending 2000 hours in it.

Trash when you compare it to single player experience. Days Gone has far  better content than Gears 5/Crackdown3 combined. You will find out why  when you will play or finish days gone. Don’t just judge it just because it got bad or mediocre reviews. Team of 40-50people have developed a AAA game(initially when they started). 
 

And I play multiplayer. Because it’s challenging and never feels boring to me. Just like FIFA when you play with real players not AI/Bots.
