Microsoft just did. Only 5% of respondents use the switching feature. That survey is not what you think it is.

Some painted it as a next gen "exclusive" feature . I'm saying it's neither next gen nor exclusive. You can achieve the same on the pc. However The experience dualsense gives can't be replicated (maybe on vr).
Azathoth
QR may or may not be ‘next gen’ but, after reading the recent posts on this thread, *cough* definitely is ‘next-gen’ Edited September 23, 2021 by 0verlord

Popular Post Shantz
I don't know why few folks are downplaying quick resume so much. It is THE most important feature in xbox for me today. So much so that I bought Tales of arise on sx instead of ps5 primarily because of quick resume and will do so for all multiplats unless there's some mind boggling difference in the PS5 version. Few things: - Why are you talking about PC? If someone wants to eat Pizza do you say well my malpua was already made of maida, so go eat malpua instead? - In any case, it is very different from what PC did. In the time my PC even goes to windows login screen, I am already back in the game on xbox. - Many games dont even have a quick save/restore functionality (even on PC) e.g. Hades. What will you do there? - I can literally shutdown my xbox and continue off from one of the 3-4 different games I was playing earlier wherever I left off. In the end, if it doesn't make sense for you, then don't use it/buy it/play it whatever. I don't know why you guys keep making random sh*t up. 9
radicaldude
Already mentioned. Some were claiming this feature to be exclusive to Xbox, and it was supposed to be a "next gen only feature". It is neither and so PC was being used as a reference point. Kenzooru
Yep, down playing quick resume is hilarious. QR is the most impressive thing I have experienced as someone with both ps5 and Series X. Best thing is that when the kids want to play Minecraft, I can just switch the games and resume when I need to get back to my game seamlessly. Games like Yakuza 3 and 4 didn’t have auto save and QR saved my butt a ton of time because I would switch between games, forgetting that there is no auto save in the game. It saved me a ton of headache. Only thing is there is scope for improvement when it comes to compatibility with games. I remember there were issues with Ubisoft games where save data was being corrupted. I personally had a bugged quick resume on RDR2 a few times where the game wouldn’t read the controller inputs after resuming from QR but it was a rare occurrence.
Vamos
Quick resume is just magic. Whatever the edge PS5 has with the extra SSD speed, Quick Resume totally makes up for it. You can suspend up to 5 games, unplug your Xbox and come back a week later and pick up exactly where you left off, with zero loading screens, zero bootup time. Sometimes it feels almost unreal how the games can stay suspended without losing their state. Edited September 23, 2021 by Vamos
AnK
Yep it’s an important feature & must have for PS5 along with VRR
radicaldude
Who is downplaying this feature? It's just that the console it is currently in is not the first system to implement it. Further I think this can be achieved via software tweaks (if the requisite hardware is present) and ps might implement it in future via firmware updates.
