Its just wishful thinking to hope multiplat devs would ditch XSS, MS would block them from publishing on XSX if not developed for XSS too. There are multiple games that are 60fps (some even 120 fps) on the XSS. Then there are games which are only 30fps on XSS but are still 60fps on XSX/PS5. As a developer, if you optimize for the lowest common denominator, it actually gets easier to improve performance on the higher end machines. Case in point, Ori and Doom.
