Buying publishers is hard work. You have to invest and develop games.

Paying for exclusivity is simple. Somebody else does the hard work that will boost my platform. In return i will do marketing for them.

so it seems like… MS still trying to acquire ABK 😂

End result is the same.. exclusives!

Ponies went from organic growth only to yes, you can acquire small studios as long as they nurtured them… 😂

Wait until Sony acquires some publisher and then it will be alright ..

Flip flops they do for Sony is mind blowing 😂

not really no, if you sign for an exclusive game from a publisher (let's just say hypothetically hitman is an exclusive game for xbox) but that publisher can still make multiplats or other potentially awesome games. in the other case there will be no game at all for the other side, in MS's case they are doing the latter to gain a monoply which will suck big time in future in general consumer perspective.

Like it sucks for xbox only player who could not play spiderman, Tlou, gow  and other awesome PS first party games… 🤷‍♂️

I don’t think MS is anywhere near a monopoly… Sony and Nintendo are not sleeping…

MS lawyer asked Jim -  Has MS not honoured any deal in past with PS or purposely released a broken or bad versions of their game on PS?  He said NO.  Then lawyers ask - what reason he has now to believe they will do it with CoD?  On what basis he saying PS version will be bad or downgraded?. He said he has no reason to believe they will do it now?  That gotta be a mic drop moment.

After that, He also downplayed his old email, by saying he couldn't understand what could happen and didn't grasp seriousness of the deal that time blah blah.  i mean CEO of PS couldn't understand what will happen when MS buys ABK? He just lied shamelessly there :/

He also gave no answer to FF related questions and also to the question what he will do with CoD if it Sony acquired ABK?  He just remain quiet and gave no answer to these 2 questions.

MS lawyers really made him sweat at the end looks like.

Edit-

Oh forgot to add this juicy news-

PlayStation Boss Jim Ryan Admits Starfield Xbox Exclusivity Is Not 'Anti-Competitive'

He said - " I don't like it, but I have fundamentally no quarrel with it and i dont view it as anti-competitive.".

Another mic drop moment. FTC was using Starfield exclusivity alot to counter MS.
