TLDR: MS went to CMA telling them that there are some changes in the deal. CMA requires time to review this and and set a deadline in august this is beyond the final deadline set by MS and ABK for the merger to be approved. It’s complex… after 18th they need to extend the agreement with Activision.. or they can close before 18th over CMA… CMA may have a agreement MS, They wouldn’t have filed for pause in legislation if they wernt sure a deal could be reached. we dont know All is up in the air..
