New gen consoles are a whole new ball game. Remaking a relatively newer game is similar to putting ultra settings from medium so you see extra textures, foliage etc. Not saying it's a bad thing, people buy new GPUs like 4090, even if they have something completely adequate like 3080. But I would rather have a system level BC that upscales old games and brings them up to 60 fps. As for TLOU 1/2 remakes, I am ok with them. Am not waiting for next Naughty Dog game right now, while they make them big projects and spend 1-2 years on them. You gimp the game enough, even Cyberpunks new expansion will run on an HDD. You should instead blame Xbox hardware engineers for having split ram and making devs force their games to gimp the xbox version or skip Xbox entirely. He worked at MS before starting Valve. Likely has strong backing inside MS as well. You cannot make a platform like Steam all by yourself.
