Ppl thinking otherwise are obviously delusional. Playstation is Valve’s biggest competition be it PSstore Vs Steam or PSVR Vs Valve Index. EDIt:- The actual reference point should be the ground reality. If PS is selling more,it’s for a reason. If PS5 is technically outperforming SX,it’s for a reason. If Developers are having trouble to launch their games on SS,it’s for a reason. If M$ is having to spend away the entire market cap of Sony just so they can “compete”,yet again it’s for a reason. Some great Remakes too which are welcome. Everyone trying to make the next COD,Destiny,PUBG,GTAO,Fortnight,FF14 is indeed scary. Everyone is running in the same direction though I agree Sony excelled at producing campaigns that most of the others couldn’t match but still. Watching studios like BioWare,Bethesda,RockSteady,Rockstar,Arcane,Viceral etc ruining themselves is equally heart wrenching!! Vaibhavp Posted July 26 Report Share Posted July 26 (edited) Series X/PS5 modes Quality - 1292p 30 fps Balanced - 796p 60 fps Performance - 720 p, unlocked frame rate (PS5 version still locked to 60 while Series X version can go upto 120) Series S mode 900p 30 fps with no motion blur. 720p gaming is real. Which has no confirmation yet in reality. I’d rather wait for numbers before saying something as confirmation based on a totally generalised assumption which initself has no technical basis. A game doesn’t need to be 60-90fps to be a locked 60fps & that aside even the game in question is no where near a locked 60 in any of it’s modes!! It’s 40-60 as confirmed in analysis.
