Fair enough. I will get Switch 2, but will rethink if they don't adapt more consumer friendly approach for switch 2. I have a feeling market will correct them in next gen.

Obviously, they need to do lot better As far as old games are concerned. But that is such a small consideration for a new console for majority of consumers, it hardly makes a difference. Also, what do ypu mean by shitty BC? 3DS, Wii and Wii U all had full BC. Only reason Switch wasn't was because of thr change in formats. I am 99% sure Switch 2 will be fully BC as well. 

 

Market dictates price. People want their games. Their games sell for years and years. Why the hell would they decrease prices on their games more thsn they need to? That makes no sense.

In a little over 2 weeks. Impressive.

 

Having played enough of the game, it does so much new stuff, I wish there wasn't a review debacle going on with the game. Even with all their might, "professional media" couldn't get the metascore below 80. That's a testament to the type of game Todd Howard and his team makes. 

 

It should've been celebrated, instead we have journalists spreading bullshit about the game.

You can't be serious with this. On this forum itself i have seen nobody pays full price for Switch games.

If one likes a promotional subscription platter then that’s well &(absolutely)good for them!!

 

But pretending that they are playing Soulsborne,GoW,Uncharted,TLOU,Mass Effect,Destiny,The Witcher,MGS,FF,RE,Gears (original),Halo (Original) esque games while in reality they are Dog sh*t to Average to Moderately Good at best & downplaying them meaty $60-70 games is another kind of stupidity.

You are kidding right? You are blaming "professional media" for their might instead of the culprit which is one of the largest MNC, pretty much had complete control on these things and chose this debacle anyways! 

 

Surprisingly,  this incident shows the game was good enough and "professional media" could not reduce score for the sake of it or because they were pissed off!

And yes, I am serious because it is factual. Have you even looked at the number of copies Nintendo co ti ues to sell of each of its big games? GTA5 is the ONLY AAA game which is ahead. That is how far ahead Nintendo is in continuously selling its AAA games in huge numbers. I am not even sure why we are even debating this.

Look at Halo Infinite. Such small things they needed to do to make it a breakout hit, yet their was a debacle. 

 

It's their thing. I play the games on gamepass and it's always funny to see narrative online about their games.

MK8 - 50+ million, Animal crossing - 40+ million, Smash Bros - 30+ million, BOTW - 30+ million, Mario Odyssey - 25+ million, Both Pokemon games - 20-25 million, TOTK - 19 million in 3 months, Mario Party - 20 million,

Who is defending Nintendo here? I was merely pointing out how BS and nonsensical your point is regarding typical Nintendo needing to learn from MS of all companies to sell their games and hardware

 

Their online needs to be better and they need a better way of game preservation, there are no two ways about it.

you are explaining sales to a user who celebrates 10m users logging into a game for 10mins and basically dropping off after.

These are the same ppl who were ok with:-

 

-Timed exclusive games being marketed as exclusives.

-Buying an HD-DVD accessory that went obsolete within a year.

-Buying faulty RRod hardware over & over.

-Fake promos in the name of exclusive content.

-Fake tech & fraud presentations of Kinnect shoved down their throats

-Resolution don’t matter gimics

-Physical Copy DRM & resale control

-Fake Cloud Computing promises

-Same three trio of games shoved over & over

-Fake AR tech promises

-Fake power advantage promises

-Fake hype on sub par & delayed games to move hardware & subscription.

 

 

Basically every shoe horn that went down their butts was a welcome move by the said MNC!!
