What might happen- 1) spender converts CoD campaigns into byte sized dlcs and focuses more on the multiplayer segment. 2) tiered gamepass structure for day 0 access. MS has treasure trove of good IPs since the dawn of Xbox era but they definitely tanked their reputation during the Xbox one launch period. Game pass is the only saving grace for now which they are keeping afloat by spending billions on a subscription model which is not sustainable at all. And I rather have 3rd party deals (Sony approach) over M&A approach. Just waiting next year for FF7 Rebirth and Rise of Ronin. I recently revisited uncharted 4 as a part of the legacy of thieves collection. I had forgotten how well written and epic the story is. None of the cutscenes feel drab and all of them perfectly merge with the storyline. I literally got goosebumps during certain sections even after all these years. Such a well written masterpiece the game is! One of the standout moment from the game is when Nate and Elena drive through the jungle in their jeep after an intense cutscene and a certain theme plays in the background. They have revamped everything in the lotc remaster. What an epic moment it is! Goosebumps! (For better or worse, sequence starts at 2.49 What a sequence! Xbots can only dream of such epic sequences in their games. No other studio is not even close to what ps game studios give us year in and year out. These are not games but experiences. When this tune played I had a big smile on my face. This tune conveys the message that all is not lost for Nate and Ellena is still with Nate till the end and Nate has nothing to worry about. They were not concerned about Playstation getting CoD. MS themselves said that CoD is like Minecraft, we lose too much money by making exclusive, MS never wanted to make CoD exclusive. They want dumb PS fanboys to buy half assed CoD games at full price every year and at same time they will use same game to push Gamepass numbers. So win win situation. Why did Phil Didn’t agree to Jim’s request for having a long term COD contract from the get go!! Why was it “few more years” meaning just the in contract games….then +3 years meaning up until 2027…..then +10 more years. It is all in open domain as to what they spoke about in their official email exchange as produced in court. Just a simple question…..if it was the plan all along then why wasn’t it said until the Regulators got involved(+3) & then FTC decided to sue in court(+10). Also like it or not M$ is stuck in a trap now. Initial plan was obviously to give it on GamePass for free & once current contract ends take it away from Playstation & Jack the prices up so that ppl have no where to go back to. But that has severely changed….they can put it on GamePass for free but the moment they charge appropriately ppl not only have the option to go back to Playstation & Steam…..but faackin Nintendo aswell Also even the cloud dreams are shattered with Ubisoft being the one to decide where will it be available & for how much. Keep moving in circles & keep denying it….but this is the reason why not a single ABK game has even a date for GamePass…..coz this wasn’t the initial plan. M$ would have done anything to take the Spider-Man 2 & MW3 PS5slim bundle’s momentum away & that would have been to unleash all past present & future(with dates) ABK content…..but they aren’t,for a reason!!
