So I guess this whole thing is indeed a ploy.

They are just releasing GaaS,Licensed & Niche games on Playstation & shoe horning all these Gears & Halo rumours to end up saying “Hey we heard you there”.

 

To ease up some tension they are using their shill team to spread these “rumours”.

 

 

In any case COD is what all that mattered to me for now amongst the acquired ones.

Since 2010 they didn’t have any meaningful exclusives apart from the repeated to death trio of Halo,Gears,Forza.

 

Starfield was the first meaningful one since then & it couldn’t make money for them.

Actually it doesn’t from a business standpoint.

But when have they made sense ever!!

 

See you either keep all as exclusive or you don’t.

COD & Destiny are a different case as in where they have legal/contractual obligation to have them multiplatform or else the deal wouldn’t have happened.

 

Having some as exclusives & others not is not going to help them in anyway:-

 

1.)More bad & confused messaging leading to ppl assume things on their own.

 

2.)Few exclusives namely the ones that they already had under the Xbox banner aren’t enough to help hardware/ecosystem in any meaningful way

 

3.)They will still loose a ton of money by having all these on GamePass & will even have to keep throwing money at more 3rd party games to add them on GamePass.

 

 

 

So in practicality it serves no purpose.

Either they keep everything exclusive & continue the long fight….which is going to be over in a decade or so anyway.

Or they unleash themselves as the biggest 3rd Party publisher on the market & actually make some money for Christ sake after decades worth of lost investments in gaming.

The price of PC components is itself retarded to begin with.  Graphical Fidelity wont take a giant leap now. Makes non sense to buy a PC to sacrifice PS exclusives.

Phill will basically say it's case by case or only some are coming but it's another lie. When Sony announced that games are coming to PC there was lot of outcry but now when Sony announce a port nobody gives a sh*t.

Xbox will still have a rumoured OEM box.

Plus even steam might finally start distributing its long ambitious steam box.

 

 

 

You say as if Nintendo overpriced it’s proprietary hardware & games once they had a 1st Party monopoly in handhelds.

 

Infact it made it even more value for money.
