Like it was the first time in history I was witnessing ppl crib about having to pay for full MRP games no matter how good they were on an artistic & technical standpoint. Earlier ppl used to pay full price again for Remastered/Director’s/Special editions but now having to pay $5-10 was something unacceptable!! It’s as if these ppl had created an atmosphere where it’s criminal to charge appropriate price for the labour. Well it was all a big Scam at the end of the day to shove expensive hardware down their throats so that the royalties keep on coming in the long run. I never understood this. It was and is the stupidest thing, people cribbing about paying for games just because MS in its infinite wisdom decided to give subscribers day and date games for "free". The only way that was ever going to work was if there was actually something unique, something compelling to offer. They didn't. Its weird to see Xbox in this state, funnily enough it was the OG Xbox that got me back to gaming. Somewhere along the way MS forgot its not about the most powerful console, its not about freebies, its not about one upping someone else. Its about tapping into what your consumers want. Consumers do not want the most powerful console, freebies are nice, but they don't build memories. Freebies will win you temporary accolades, the moment things aren't "free" anymore, every single person that came to you for the freebies, will turn their back on you and go elsewhere, unless there was something special they could get nowhere else. You only need to look back at the mid to tail end of the PS3 life. Sony doubled down on the one thing that people wanted. Great experiences. They brought the games. Sure everyone misfires but correcting course is what was needed, instead Xbox went the opposite direction at the start of the next gen with the Xbox One and the rest is history. And I think because radio station playlist in FH4 is God tier and FH5 radio playlist was sh*t or I was burned out after FH4. FH4 > FH5 I liked UK setting a lot more. Lets face it, FH has always been less about racing and more about driving around in pretty locations with some chill tunes. This is why I missed the Classic station in FH5. Indiana Jones & Blade will die the same Forza,Starfield,Gears & Halo death on GamePass & M$ will have to make up to them with more royalty money on each copy given away on GamePass. After the tried and tested success of the Spidey game sale result, Disney would be fool to allow blade and Indy to be exclusive on Xbox. More than 50 MN sales and only 3 games is massive accomplishment. I am convinced blade didn't mentioned any platform or even Xbox logo has to mean something.
