TBH if it was 1TB SSD and $599 instead there wouldn't be this much of an uproar.

That’s what I have been saying from the start.

Sony trying to extract maximum profit from this particular launch model.

And include that stupid-a*s stand in the box, it takes like $2 to make in chinese labor camps.

It’s not even necessary to be honest.

Just a cosmetic feature.

The horizontal placement with whatever they provide is just fine.

And you wonder why competition doesn't exist

Just sing along to their tune no matter what they do.

Next time they will ship the console without Dualsense and ask users to buy it separately. Then you'll say it's better for the environment

I just spoke the truth.

It’s not necessary……& one should not waste money for a $30 useless attachment.

About singing along lol……had ppl actually spoken the truth (like me) about competing platform for the last decade then PhilS & his team would have long gone with DonM & competition would have actually “maybe” existed.

So a $600 XBseriesX that has the exact same design(which looked fugly to begin with) & specs from 2020 is Fine by some ppl.

Because nobody f**ckin cares & no body would have bought it even if it was $400.

But a 45% upgrade spec with a total fresh & much sleeker design overhaul is not ok for $700…….

I mean this is the kind of ppl social media has to deal with everyday.

& Then ppl actually think this noise matters!!

Because end of the day PS5pro will sell like wisecracks & will most definitely run GTA6 at some sort of bearable performance mode.

Ahhhh….pathetic!!

I am just calling out the Meme Twitter handle with 2K followers..

I don't have a choice I'll be upgrading Day 1 anyway since need to retire the old console to younger kids in family..

Also no one made noise about Series X $600 because no knew gives a shife and no one is buying more Xbox Hardware because there is lot of other ways to play Gamepass..

PS5 base is more and more ppl are looking to upgrade it hence the backlash...

It is a special edition console with a 2TB SSD. Hence the price markup. And that part where it says special edition is a major factor why the price is 600.

Just like how PS5 special edition (spider man 2 edition) was more expensive than the regular PS5.

The base Series X with 2 TB SSD upgrade will cost much less than base PS5 2 TB

Because it had the $70 state of the art game inside of it?!?

Anyway….I give up….continue the charade.

And this has a 2 TB SSD?!

1 TB of extra SSD costs surely more than $70 game. What about that?

Halo Infinite special edition was also priced at $550 at launch before the price increase and that thing had just 1 TB SSD

I don't see how this is a fair comparison at all. Unless MS has a mid-gen refresh for Series X, comparing the PS5 Pro with XSX Special edition makes zero sense.

Are you sure about that?

PS5 Pro will probably be around 70k with straight 10x conversion (USD -> INR)

And base PS5 with 1TB nvme is like 63k (53k for digital)

.

He see’s value in 1TB of extra SSD discarding the fact that at $500 this same machine was selling in 2020.

No change except that 1tb extra & price in 2024 $600

But the faackin PS5pro which isn’t even the same machine…has 45% extra raw power & is more compactly designed has nothing worth of $700 in it in 2024.

Ab aise logo se koi kya he behes karre

Bye….

Sony's dominant position in market reason behind bold 700$ pricing. PS6 will be around 800-900$ coz Sony knows loyal fanboys will buy it.

That said by the time PS6 out, Sony will start releasing games on PC dayone along with console coz future PS console will not have massive install base like PS4 to recoup the cost of exclusives. They will need Steam money more than ever in future to make money.

More or less the same with PS5 if you pick the official WD SSD.

Will probably save around 5k if you go with 3rd party options.

Also, if you choose this upgrade path, the $600 Special Edition Xbox SX is a steal

Dude, what are you on ? Like really?

The 2020 PS5s are also still selling for the same Rs 55,000 price tag.

You want Xbox SX to sell at $400 just because the PS5 Pro is announced?

The $600 Series X is just a technicality you are using to justify the PS5 Pro's absurd price tag of $700.

In case you missed it, the regular Series X is still around. No one is asking you to buy the 2TB Special Edition.
