I don’t see any other reason other than PS5pro release. New Hardware clearly benefited Sony more than Subsidised Subscription helped M$. GameindustryBiz was right when they said Sony will end up making more money than anybody else from this COD deal. Earlier they used to get 20% royalties but under new regime & Contract they getting 30% royalties. M$ getting 70% gross revenue almost entirely from PS sales & almost next to nothing on PC+XB thanks to subsidised GP. They spent $70b to make this happen. And Why would a PC CoD player migrate to PS5 to play inferior console version which is 70$ compared to 12$ through GP or he can buy full game at cheaper price through sites like CD keys and all? You can take example of IVG or ICG, not a single PC player playing this on PS5 or xbox. They all on PC via GP.
