On the flipside, eternal might be the only first party game on gamepass for a long time...

They can retroactively add every Bethesda game one by one to pad out the FP offering. What else is there for next 18 months?

Fallout 4 and Wolf 2 are already on ps now.

Rest they can probably add ES5 and young blood. I doubt anyone is still excited for those 2.

Compared to Sony (Nov to Mar 21) , xbox side is extremely dry w.r.t games.

Only smart move is gamepass and BC up to Original xbox. That can attract a lot of buyers

You're correct in part but you're discounting the fact that Sony's first party offerings are top notch for the most part and generally well regarded or at least perceived to be better than what's on offer on the other platform over the years. Like I said before you look at what a company has done in the past, when in the lead and when they're playing second fiddle.

In the PS3 days the general perception was the X360 was a better platform with great games and that was mostly correct, but Sony kept plugging away and carried the Ps3 on the strength of their first party ips alone, while MS began to snooze towards the latter half of the gen. It would be easy for Sony to enter the PS4 gen and rest on its laurels but it still kept the FP ip's mostly high quality barring a few. And here's the crux. MS was on the back foot from the start of this gen and yet with all the gains during the 360 days, their FP has been rather lack luster barring a few. The difference in how Sony handled a "loss" is vastly different to how MS handled a "loss".

Free is nothing.

No doubt they have top notch exclusives ... but I can get 3 years of game pass for the price of sm mm and demon souls. And not to add doom Wolfenstein and other Bethesda and Microsoft games ... the choice is a no brainier for me...
Game pass is too good of a deal at this time..

Sony exclusives are not worth the 5k price anymore.. many people would come to this same conclusion soon...

OK, I'm just curious, how did you play ps4 exclusives this gen when it cost 4K on launch? Was 4K not too pricy for you?

I bought uc4 at 60$ and boy do I regret that decision ...

Bought gow, spiderman, hzd at 20$ each.

Was waiting for tlou 2, got for sale but not buying ps5 for 2-3 years so will wait for remaster ... not interested in other ps exclusives

And I don’t believe Microsoft is done responding.. if they don’t do more they can kiss generation goodbye too Gp and Bethesda are just the first salvo.. losers give users the best deals  Edited by hsk_colossus

Dont know y people cant except that xbox is providing much more value this time around. Looking at where the economy i can happily wait for a few years to buy the ps5 and its amazing exclusives when it fits my budget. I see no point in rushing to play sp games at 70$ when you can get the same experience  if not better with all the dlcs included at a cheaper price.

To be honest even buying one console is getting to be a pain in the a*s. I am just speaking for myself ,everyone is free to do what they feel since its their money .

Ahh, there's not much holding you back in PS, GP makes sense for you.

Personally, never bought games day 1, I buy preowned, finish it and sell asap, works out for me, no matter what the launch price.
