Bots now wishing they could go back in time and stop daddy from spending all that money on ABK

oh man, there were endless spam accounts created to PM us. so hateful lmao.

no ones to blame but MS, their dogshit management and their hubris. They could have easily stayed within the status quo and everything would have been fine. But their greed got the better of them,

Yes blaming M$ higher ups like Satya & Amy Hood is foolish but the new memo for shills.
Xbox doob gaya tha jis din Phil Spencer became incharge of First & Second Party Software, rest were just after effects. It happened sometime in 2009.

2011 onwards it was down fall for Exclusives.

Peter Moore gave Xbox a huge push by Second & Third Party exclusivity deals.Even timed exclusives.

It was a huge push & all they had to do was keep investing in First,Second & even Third party exclusive content which they very well had money for.

But they made Doofus Phil Spencer (who till date has absolutely zero knowledge or charm about game development) incharge of the whole division & made another Doofus Don Matrick incharge of future brand strategy.

Idiot tried to become the next IPhone in living room interface & entertainment.

Gamers don’t care about interface & wanted games like Halo,Gears,Forza,Fable,Alan Wake,Mass Effect,Ninja Gaiden,CrackDown,Lost Odyssey etc.

On a serious note, out of four generations, Xbox only had one successful one and most of it came because they launched a year in advance compared to competition. Microsoft has never been a viable player

They kept Sony in check though. Now arrogant Sony will be back.

At this point in stage the market conditions are set in stone for all sorts of devices.

And all device makers know their limits too.

Soon things will be in the clouds (~decade) so I think pretty much everybody will maintain status quo when it comes to pricing, quality & all.

One wrong move & they know they can be lost in the transition like DvD players & suppliers.

(Namely Blockbuster).

Even Sony profit Margin not 30%

PS margins always around 12-16%. Ponies don't want to admit its top leadership but now Jason in his article posted top leadership killing Xbox.

The wars are now for people's time.

It is impossible to get a large group to pull in 40hrs of gaming every week. if you own a platform, you want people on your platform, do whatever they may.

If you own an IP, you want it everywhere, just to get eyeballs.

PS will survive in this jungle.

Dire situation for AAA, not every game can be Wukong.

Fundamentally, this looks like last gen for Xbox. PS will survive, but they have to evolve as platform, Halo and Forza like stuff is just beginning.
