Game got lots of 8-9+ scores. Xbox users ignored it, sales were bad iirc. The IP is actually owned by Insomniac, seems like Sony wants to give it a sequel, Insomniac had shown interest long back. The aesthetic, sound design, character design, everything is spooky as sh*t. I can appreciate its quality but it's not for pansies like me. When I started the game, I didn't know how to equip the weapon (or the fact that I could). So tried to fight that first wolf barefist.
