I'm so curious what an alternative universe would have looked like where Halo was on Mac. Would it have made Apple into one of the biggest publishers today? Would they have made their own console? The type of profits that exceed what mature tech companies like Google, MS etc. can generally earn. If that's true - then this is well deserved. And unlike Apple, Google or Amazon, MS has truly diversified sources of income. MS as a whole is in a better position than any other big companies imo.
