Not too difficult to understand. Right now, both of them are printing profits from their gaming divisions. Having said that, no one has to buy games at launch. Not really about quality, but brand value/cache at the moment. Sony had great games in 2009-10, but most of them didn't sell. Xbox is becoming popular/gaining friction again due to gamepass but last generation was pretty terrible for them as they not only lost the market and mind share but most of their franchises lost the appeal they used to hold, including Halo 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Not acquired/second/third party titles available elsewhere included in gp, *at the present moment*. Even right now, I don't think gpass has any xbox exclusive goty contender/winner. My post was about the genesis of gamepass, and not on the quality of games it offers now. And yes my statement is true, it still doesn't feature any goty/contender exclusive to the platform as they dried post 360 era. Quality of so called exclusives dipped (halo/gow series) That's why they created/started this subscription service. And I personally regret buying digital spiderman MM.. feels like a DLC.. almost similar to main game … and is too short for the price.. should have bought disc and sold it..
