This is true...

Buyer fraud is a real thing and India has a reputation for it... And it’s not talked about enough.

All major Ecom companies here tweaked their return policies to deter users from abusing the return policies.

They still keep happening in mysterious ways..

Especially those who claim they got soap boxes in place on an iPhone are just ridiculous and 100% fake.

Except, I have witnessed this happen to a couple of people in my workplace.

I set a phone on a small tripod and record the entire unboxing from the e-comm packaging to the final product for any high value purchases nowadays. Heard enough horror stories to not take that risk.

They should put returned products in the same pool from which they ship items to retail customers as "new" though.

There is a term called "open box" for such items, like which get returned but the customer didn't like it, or there was some minor defect, whatever.

What Amazon and Flipkart seem to do is not check the returned items and dump them back into the same retail sales pool of items, which then gets shipped to other customers.

Wonder if such fraud happenss in the Western Markets.

It started from there itself lol.

This replacement no questions asked started in India with these Amazon/FK type big ecoms.

In America and other countries it started with supermarkets like Walmart.

The ecoms came later, so irl walmart and other stores had this no-questions-asked-replacement policy.

ofc then certain people started trying to game the system.

I think these ecomm sites red flag pin codes that have had some number of cases of fraud in a given time.

They don't service these codes.

To blacklist there were many ways, for ecoms they can blacklist the address of some conman "customer"

And even retail stores can blacklist their creditcard/debitcard.

that is ofc if they give a damn to track such things.

Could it be overheating? Thermal paste issue?

It’s most likely the motherboard

there is power issue & it’s not getting up & running

Just to be sure you can check the power cable

But most likely it’s not that

So, @AnK was right. It was indeed an issue with the motherboard. They quoted 2.5K to fix it and change the thermal paste because it's been so long and needed a service anyway.

^^I remember an id dev openly saying that SeriesS was a bad idea

Right before the Bathesda acquisition news was out

Don’t really know why it’s so hard for some ppl to fathom the fact even after watching Final few games on each generation

Most notably Cyberpunk

So what happened with Cyberpunk & PS4 after 7 years of launch

will probably start happening with SeriesS at around 2-3 years of launch (if you ask me or look at Exodus it’s already started,f**ckin 512p)& even to stretch it that far developers will be forced to limit their vision on PS5/SX

What a pathetic scenario it’s really going to be

That’s why I never wanted it to sell well & hold any meaningful pull on this gen

So that's how you guys start your morning worrying about future of Series S ...

Do you guys have an OCD to talk bad about Xbox and just can't help yourself ?
