AnK Posted August 28, 2021 Report Share Posted August 28, 2021 Don’t get me wrong I’m just talking about the generality of it Some of the content being offered lately like Hades,Psychonouts & soon to be released Halo/Forza duo is pristine stuff But I doubt anyone in this magnitude would have bothered about stuff Like Outriders,MLB,Dirt,Flight Simulator,Ascent & what not I see ppl talking about them day & night that otherwise wouldn’t have bothered It’s a very good business strategy being deployed by almost every Subscription entertainment service Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Have heard the campaign is just 6 hours long. Looks like MS is more interested in making games that fit the GP model than making great games first and then using the service just to distribute them. Not very dissimilar to when some hidden gem is given out with a PS+ subscription (Fall Guys comes to mind). The only difference, seemingly, is that with Gamepass, the number of these "games I wouldn't have bought but enjoyed it when I played it" is much higher. I've subscribed to EA Play and absolutely love it. I personally wouldn't have bought Jedi: Fallen Order or Dirt 5, but due to the subscription, I had a thoroughly awesome experience and enjoyed those games. Hades is highest rated game on the system. I wouldn't play it even if MS paid me. Lol. This is benefit of gamepass. No more purchase driven by metascore. Just play what you actually enjoy.
