Agreed. The sn30 pro+ does exactly this for 50$. Comes with internal removable battery which you can replace with AA ones if you want.

You can also charge them inside the battery compartment. This is the best of both worlds. This is my go to controller on PC.

Imo, Microsoft should just stop including AA batteries in the controller box.

For every controller they ship, they make additional waste that may not be properly disposed by everyone.

Include no batteries, reduce the price accordingly.

Or just not be a greedy f**k and include rechargeable AA ?

Or they can do what digital cameras do, which IMO, is the best thing ever. Just include a replaceable rechargeable Li-ion battery that can be charged from the controller and can also be replaced by a backup so that you can always be wireless.

And kill the additional accessory aka charge and play kit?

You forgot about the $200 *official* controllers.

Talk of corporate greed.

I agree with your point about MS being greedy with not shipping rechargeables.

200$ Elite controllers is an option and no one is forcing anyone to buy it. Why even bring that up? It has it's own set of fans like with any hobby.

That's one way to look at it. Another being MS coming out with another sku with refined/better features and asking more than double for it.

However the best version of ps5/Nintendo controllers *officially* cost $70 / $80 only.

Come on man. Dualsense is good, but are you seriosuly comparing a modular, customizable controller with something shipped with a console by default? By that logic dualshock paddles shouldnt exist.

So better options shouldn't exist anywhere? Have you seriously used the XSX/X1 controller? Its built like a tank and you rarely see anyone who owns it actually complain about it.
