Every time someone brings up something shitty Sony did, the response to it is NOT MS did something similar. Nintendo, Xbox and PC definitely have a smaller presence when compared to Sony. By that logic, the outrage for Sony stuff would be more simply because more people care about it. Heck, I own both XSX and PS5, but you won't see me complain about Live or PS Plus price hike, cos I simply don't care about online. The HZD fiasco was concerning prices of games and it's a lot more universal, so I did raise my voice against it. Combined with both the reasons I've given, why is it hard to believe that there's a simpler explanation for people voicing out against Sony rather than selective outrage? The fact that people haven't criticised the Battlefield 2042 upgrade path is because they don't care for it. Maybe they don't care for the game or maybe they know nothing will happen because of EA. Who knows, maybe this situation will motivate some people to raise this concern with EA as well. Honestly, whataboutism is the death of all conversations.
