Any of these big houses can align themselves with them aswell potentially, to take charge of their cloud services. Could happen ,nintendo or sony games on netflix could change the fortune for all involved. Also it will probably take years for netflix to make a dent in the market unless they make a big acquisition or do some kind of partnership. They even gave their biggest franchises extra time. 1) forza horizon extra 1 yr 2)halo used to have a 3 yr release cycle now releasing after 6 yrs with another 1 yr delay 3) forza motorsport from a 2 yr cycle to 5 yrs if it releases next year. Just an observation, you could only name 2 game franchises right of the bat. This is what [mention=152]AnK[/mention] said few days back. Everyone is hyping up the "potential" and not what it is presently. maybe in few years it would grow. But only time and the halo infinite will tell us the direction of growth. They are counting all the games released “lately” as M$’s work The last actual work from them in core gaming scene was Gears,Forza years ago,which have been on repeat mode since 360 along with Halo. If one counts games like Doom Eternal,Psychonauts,Deathloop & all the games that were already in development before they bought the studio,then they are just fooling themselves. No contribution from M$ in them apart from money whatsoever. They didn’t even greenlit these projects. Yes future potential is strong I agree. Also according to you deathloop counts as ps exclusive beacuse they made an exclusivity deal ,but doesnt count as 1st party game because xbox bought the studio and that not right Ms contributing with money is the most important thing to a dev team incase you didn’t t know. That is what is used to hire and delay the game till its fit for release along with marketing. Talk about shifting the goal posts as per your convenience. The studio was under THQ before being bought by Sega & the rights to the IP were shifted quite a bit. But if it was really M$ that green-lit & oversaw the entire project then kudos to them for making a new game start to finish under the “Xbox Studios” But what it really brings to the table for “Xbox” to be discussed in Xbox vs PS thread,god only knows. It’s obviously not a Sony game & can’t be counted as one,credit for its success can’t & shouldn’t go to Sony. But obviously it’s equally dumb to give it’s credit to M$. If MS can get good games made by external studios, they can do same with internal studios as well. They had to get basics right. Which is: To give creative freedom to developers. To give them time if game isn't ready. Both of these aspects they are doing very well. Cause we have Phail at helm and he understands what's makes games good.
