Valve, Ms has nothing to do with that. So just stop being a tryhard typist who gets the information out of twitter or thin air. As I have mentioned before this was about physical vs digital modes of preservation. I have already mentioned about how sony is / will pull the plug on psp/psvita/ps 3 stores soon. Good luck playing games from those systems after their stores go kaput.

Then that’s the problem with Sony. Not digital preservation. Physical media always have a tendency to go bad over time.

If uncharted is what you care about then there are two ways of playing that game 1. Get the uc collection on the ps4- to play on the PS5 2. Get a PS3. Even digital media has a tendency to go down (licensing issues is one reason), storage is another( if you think they store the data on actual clouds ofcourse, hence a renewable form of storage, that's another story). Sony: Pay me again to have your game rerelease…errrr…preserved. meanwhile, you can still play Halo 1, Fable etc on XsX. or how you can still play quake 3 arena, unreal tournament on pc after 21 years. 1

My pc games are still prestine and work just fine (rather like a dream). It's not as if physical game preservation itself is bad. (Though I agree digital is way too convenient on modern systems) Whats your Steam id?

Guest
If there were any physical copies in shops around the world they would get pulled too... That's how licensing works. ? And people who have the game doesn't get affected at all mainly digital while old physical copies could break/fail to read.

A lot of people have wasted precious time. 1
radicaldude
The only way for someone to play the game now (if he/she doesn't have the game digitally already) is to hunt for the physical version. Price of physical copies would now skyrocket, starting in 3.....2.....1... Edited November 8, 2021 by radicaldude

Whoever has the time to play a 17 year old game, that will look like a*s now (just how it is for old games, nothing against MGS in particular) has the time to hunt it down. Their personal problem, nothing others need to care about.
