Rishi himself mentioned in his article that PS5 was more widely available in both online and physical stores. SX only available on selected online retailers officially. No big physical retail chain selling SX whereas PS5 banners are easily can be seen at Croma, Reliance Digital nd all. Guy from whom i bought PS5 got direct contact with Redington India and they confirmed not much stock coming for SX. He said stock will come this month and if it does come, he will keep one unit for me coz i still looking for one. Im not gonna buy overpriced grey unit without warranty or used 2nd hand SX. SS is easily available but its,way too overpriced here. Doesn’t change the fact that when SX drops it’s laying around for a day. PS5 goes out in seconds. The whole logic of supply & demand comparison between the both falls flat the very instance this is visible. & it’s visible to everyone….no reporter with links needed to prove that. PC gaming not everyone but still in general more popular and there are more PC gamers here than consoles. For Xbox games they will use PC to play Xbox games. You have no interest in buying any console now, all you care post nonsense and be arm chair analyst about everything. Im actively searching and talking to people regarding SX restock. Last few times it came back in stock for few mins and went out of stock instantly on Amazon. So i don't know about this whole day thing. You must be confusing with SS as its always in stock Halo edition supposed to come here but now its cancelled it looks like. Just regular unit will come. Hence why I said MS has done great optimization. If you have any GPU from up to 2-3 generations ago, it's easy to play all MS games @1080p or 1440p resolution. You might not get 4k of SX, but you are getting 60 fps maxed out games + saving out on paying 50k for a new console (35k SS is utter nonsense). All of this is actually increasing GP Customers, at the cost of Xbox sales. It's why I also hold GamePass's ultimate aim is the Cloud. GP drives the xbox, but in the end - it will be Cloud and Accessibility that will drive GP. After a certain point, I doubt MS will even care about Xbox sales. People might consider Xbox more when their GPUs fail and they have to find a new GPU. Till then, most people will stick with existing HW on PC. My speculation is that cloud gaming is inevitable over the next 5-10 year time period. Things are going to go the Netflix way once tech improves enough. Console hardware is going to become an enthusiasts purchase like Blu-ray movies are now. There's too much profitability potential for it not be the case. PlayStation is the only brand as far as casual gamers are concerned . One they know about and want to buy . XSS with gamepass is much better vfm deal but if it's not advertised or priced properly (for XSS) then it won't sell simple . Also regards to PS4 vs PS5 sales - When PS4 was launched in India in 2014 - 40k for a gaming console was considered huge. In 2021 - 50k for PS5 doesn't seem that expensive to many people . He ships console at my home and then i pay him. Easily available with warranty.
