Don't worry. Almost 90percent of the xbox crowd is unaware of the day one crapola (leaving redfall and starfield) coming out this year.

Yup, only PS fans care about this stuff.

An average game release doesn't take away all exceptional games available on platform.

Is this a game Xbox was hyping up? Genuinely curious, since I hadn't heard of it.

They announced it and showed it on their e3 stage and other conference twice or thrice. Was a pretty big deal back then esp with them showing numbers like "700 million players worldwide" etc

That number can't be true .  10% of world population has played that game,  if we go by their claims of 1 billion players or so .

Impossible to believe

This article says so, overwhelming majority from China and South Korea.

overwhelming majority - at least 60/70% should be from those two countries . That means 600/700 million from a combined population of 1.5 billion . So basically they are claiming every 2nd or 3rd  (if 50% comes from those two countries) person in that country has played that game (registered user)

Still finding it hard to believe.

Ponies attacking it coz it was announced as timed exclusive to Gamepass. . Game is owned and published by a Korean company and campaign part of the game is developed by Remedy. I was looking forward to it since campaign is developed by Remedy as they dont make bad games but looks like they didnt put much effort and just released a half-assed campaign.

Multiplayer is very popular in Asia.. Got around 600m players but only in Asia, no one plays it in NA and EU.

I dont get why anyone attack Xbox or MS over a game which is not made by their own studio.. If Remedy fuked up then its their fault lol.

Hearing campaign is not on gamepass. Just intro to campaign is part of gamepass. Can you confirm? Thoughts?

MS probably knew CrossfireX was a dumpster fire and kept marketing to the minimum, hours into release and reviews are still not out

Meanwhile, HFW embargo lifts 4 days prior to release, Sony seems pretty confident with the game and Guerilla.

Dude that game touched 12 billion in revenue in 2018. That makes it one of the highest grossing games ever. Probably more than entire GTA franchise. Shouldn't be hard to believe. Just discount that number for multiple accounts from cheaters, etc. But just take the revenue and player base and it just makes sense intuitively.

Damn that's crazy . Yeah makes sense now . Also you are right about this series/game having made more revenue than entire GTA franchise .

MS not publisher or owner. They can't decide when review embargo will be lifted. Why you all don't do some search before saying sh*t lol.

Korean company owns the IP and publisher. MS just did game pass deal.

Ultimately it looks bad on Remedy more since they made campaign lol
