He is convinced games like Fortnite and Assassin's Creed are growing industry. Which he wants to emulate. That's why his games will need bigger budget and cannot be on subscription day 1. SOTC, Returnal, Demon's Souls (PS3) etc all their best games have historically been medium budget titles. But he is not happy with that. Nothing to do with MS / Gamepass. Fortnite and acreed both are from different genre altogether. One is a f2p PvP (perfectly suited for subscription service) and the other is story driven sp title. Sony already has studios to take care of the f2p games. Big budget sp titles are not suited for subscription services is what he said yesterday. Else it'll be like the $500 mil Halo infinite.
