Exactly... the only benefit for Gamepass is the first party exclusives on day 1, but people seem to casually ignore the fact that you can buy discs of those games on day one and sell for a very small dip in price. Even other big games rarely come to GP on day 1, you cant expect stuff like RDR2 to come out on GP so you would anyways buy them separately. On the whole GP turns out to be more expensive, especially for casual gamers.

People have spent $500 on series Xs just for that.

Only when proper aaa releases start launching on the sub service, it would make sense to sub for a substantial time interval. Till then, sub only for those months, when something worthwhile comes into the service (which you haven't played already).

Makes no sense to stack up GP sub till 2024. Maybe, only 1-2 aaa exclusives would see the daylight till then.

There is value of time too.

I finished around 30 games last year. Do you realise how much time and effort would be wasted in having to buy and resell so many discs. I value my leisure and mental peace so I don't sell discs anyways. That's the reason I'm almost completely digital right now.

I don't understand why everyone seems to think they know better than everyone else.

It's also probably cheaper to purchase every single song you want to hear than subscribe to Spotify. People still do it for comfort and convenience.

Abe paise diye hain toh bolna hi padega accha hai. Asliyat toh yeh hai ki 2-3 saal ka paisa atak gya hai.

Games which Bots wouldnt even spare a look are now being played to justify the buy :giggle:

First Party was quite literally non existent so far.
I personally would have just played Gears in 2019 & Halo in 2021 & even these I was bored to death from that’s why decided to give up on Xbox ecosystem.

I have been saying this for far too long,day1 scheme is not the reason GamesPass has picked up popularity.

It’s the early & timely offering of good third party games 6-18 months from launch.
If one removes this from the equation then the Xbox name will go back to being the turd it was.

True.

Someone in the other thread mentioned about Xbox gobbling up studios with strong lineups.

All the Xbox Studios Microsoft had prior to Bethesda

Coalition

Undead Labs

343i

Compulsion

Playground

Turn 10

Rare

Inexile

The Initiative

Ninja Theory

Obsidian

Double Fine

Have nothing, ready for 2022

This is sad really. They might go the Sega way in few years.

Even after Starfield (which was coincidentally in development & not pinned in as a multiplatform at the time of accusation ) there is nothing visibly in sight for the whole of 2023 apart from HellBlade.

So this trend of 1 odd AAA & maybe 1 more AA caliber first party game a year is here to stay until 2024-25.

Just that them floating & shills boasting “cloud powah” years in advance is a pattern that repeats itself every generation

You're supposed to add some text dude, like...

"When you're supposed to be part of a game with 10year service, but 2 months in, its dying and you get a cookbook" :/

Oh yeah I totally forgot

This Halo was supposed to be a “10 year vision”

Damn!!! Man

The amount of cluelessness going on inside Xbox Studios is too difficult to even remember & keep track of.
