Great for the consumers. If it will come to survival, Sony will struggle more than MS. If you look at most popular games in world right now, they are in genre where MS excels. They pioneered online console FPS and make some of best ones out there. They are not interested in console market share though. That's for sure. Always allow Sony to take the lead. If they chase short term profit they won't be able to buy companies like Acti-Blizz. Cause they will not get approval. Also true threat is Amazon, Google etc which have interest in gaming but will likely take audiance away from windows. They are big enough to do that.
