I received a call from SBI some time back to increase my credit limit, I refused as I was not in good mood or something like that. I think I was in the process of cancelling my other SBI card.

Is there any way I can maybe raise a request to upgrade limit to my SBI card? I have simplyclick.

Can be done via SBI website. But the limit upgrade will be far lower than what they offered.

They offered me 1.10l limit upgrade but i said i dont need it. Now when i manually asked them they increased it from 55000 to 61000 lol XD

Pay the due amount 2 days before your bill is generated, credit score won't be affected.

He plans to take no cost EMI option. Paying 1 installment before bill generation would still mean outstanding Bal is high.

And Paying whole amount before bill kinda negates the purpose of going for no cost EMI option . So not sure how this will help .

For no cost EMIs, the whole amount is deducted and then credited back for verification, there won't be outstanding balance for the whole amount.

My 1st credit card expired and I got the replacement credit card. What is it that you exactly do so that old CC is officially out of commission and new card is activated? HDFC card hai

You just need to make a payment on the new card. That's it, rest will be handled by HDFC.

Peeps, looking for a CC (not DC, not Niyo) with minimum forex markup. Onecard was working fine (1% IIRC) until they moved my card to BOB Fin, and international transactions stopped working. Raised multiple complaints - they kept blaming all merchants, and I closed the card eventually.

There's RBL World Safari, but I have heard horror stories about RBL, so treading cautiously. Any other options ?

Don't look at just lowest forex markup.

Look at the net reward rate post forex charges + GST.

For example: HDFC Infinia has 2% markup + gst but you will get 4.3% in reward rate with Global Value program, so in net, you will be better off.

Similarly if you bounce for Axis Reserve, you get 1.5% + GST but 12% RR on forex transactions, so in net, you are way better off.

It depends on how much you spend on forex annually to justify paying such premium CC fees.

Not looking for such premium cards tbh as can't justify the high fee. Also, FWIW, RBL said I am not eligible to apply for World Safari.

I am surprised Onecard is not on the list tbh. 1% markeup only. Had they not f**ked up my transactions, I wouldn't even be looking elsewhere.

Everything else seems super expensive, not worth the amount. Will stick to 3.5% markup for now. Sigh.

Onecard has been having issues, that's why it was left out of the list possibly.

It was working fine with Federal and SMB. Their BOB partnership killed things for me. Plus their bots are useless.

IDFC Wealth has 1.5% markup, but not letting me apply.

It's because I have the now shitty RBL Zomato card. Super devalued.

Not a fan of RBL - trying to get hands on IDFC Wealth CC. 1.5% markup. Tolerable. LTF.
