7L is doable. But if your spends exceed 7L then 20% will still be hit. Manageable for work travel though.

Problem is hitting that with work travel is easy and quick. So personal spends if total goes beyond 7L with still attract TCS.

Better than the previous one though.

"This would mean that transactions through International Credit Cards while being *overseas* would not be counted as LRS and hence would not be subject to TCS"

Emphasis on overseas.

Do they mean even that CC txns done overseas will not be subjected to TCS anyway?

I thought it meant that even though CC txns are considered overseas. But this is ambiguous.

But this ambiguity is good for us.

If I read word to word, 1 Oct is for the revised TCS rates to go live.

No timeline for bringing CC under LRS.

Looks like this is it and could mean that CC remains out of LRS even after 1st Oct and even then overseas txns will not be counted as LRS.

Good ambiguity.

Is limit per card and not per pan?

Per pan. But that's what I meant, use CC which has been issued on your parent's PAN and name, then you will have a higher limit before TCS kicks in.

But in all practicality, I don't see banks keep track of overall spend anytime soon, maybe just at bank level. That's why they have postponed it without any date.

Which is the best Rupay CC to apply for?

I just applied for Axis Indian oil rupay card as it's lifetime free. Any other good options?

I think Tata Neu Rupay gives good points if buying from partner stores.
