Funny part is they are also crying about the loss of Axis' reputation. Yes, they lost quite a bit of it, but the same guys will come crawling back to Axis if it launches another card with similar rewards after a year.

Absolutely true. There is no loyalty here.

Reward Rate dikhao, sab aa jayenge.

It just goes to show that running behind CCs is quite useless. Stick to tried and tested ones and be happy.

The kind of cribbing over Twitter is bonkers. My timeline is just cluttered with these idiots.

That's debatable.

Really depends on the user.

I made my points, probably 4-5 one-way business flights to US or 7-8 in economy.

I am satisfied, though value of pending points is still a pain point.

Time to switch the next best.

People can't get hands on the tried and tested cards like Infinia and even if they could, can't accrue the points which they could on Magnus. Let them wail, they will soon accept it.

Just like SBI was in debiting the already credited points.

Still hurt.

If you weren't in the miles game, you can't relate.

SBI reverted that, yes I'm not into miles game but again , if they are playing by the rules (1 month notice before changing features) what's stopping them?

Nothing is stopping them and people are allowed to feel hurt.

These people never had access to this game, they have never faced a devaluation.

It's almost as if a new investor has faced first cut/bear. They don't know how to react.

They will settle down, acceptance is a part of this game.

I have been in the miles game for long, since the days of Air India Signature card when it used to offer large milestone rewards. It has always been an interesting strategy to optimize your spends to get few freebies. However, it has always been difficult process and took a lot of time and energy, along with spending power.

Magnus changed the game completely. It made the process too easy and didn't require big spending power. So, everyone rushed to join the party and enjoyed free business class tickets and suites. Now, when it is gone people are crying.

But is all this on just a tweet/rumor or has it been made official ?

It's almost confirmed. If you ask customer care, they will say the same.

Agents have been asked to stop sourcing new cards on the basis of old benefits.

RM and BMs have communicated on WhatsApp as well.

I transferred my points because I have plans and don't want to take any risk, if it turns out to be a hoax, will be glad but highly unlikely.

Damn! Makes it worthless, Infinia was, is and I guess will continue to remain the king of CCs. I am sure everyone enjoyed the ride while it lasted. What would be the best place to transfer this, going to give this shock to my friend who used to brag about his points via Magnus might as well advice him where to transfer. I think he was planning Europe next year so any suggestions ?

Call axis RM or CC. They have confirmed.

Hmm... was bound to happen but happened too soon and I guess they could have taken a step by step approach. The MD woke up and chose violence instead. Having fun on twitter today. :giggle:

People are calling different officials left, right and centre. Some say devaluation is confirmed, some say it isn't.

I moved points to be safe and because I have plans, would be great if devaluation is cancelled or nerfed.

So looks like Axis did go back to the board to rethink about the devaluation. Nothing concrete, can just be false hope but people close to the upper management has provided intel that Axis held a meeting yesterday and decided to put a hold on it because of the amount of card closures they are projecting and also loss of Burgundy customers etc.

This really calls for a case study.
