Icewind dale?

Yeah, that's one they can do.

Though honestly would like to see Obsidian do it with real time gameplay and dnd ruleset. Their Pillars of Eternity had great everything but lackluster gameplay. That could be solved by it.

As the game progresses I'm missing more shots than I'm landing.

10/10

Are you playing on normal difficulty? Make sure you do so.

I think on higher difficulty you get a dice with less faces, reducing your chances.

Not to mention it's a new release so no idea what type of difficulty spikes could come up.

No, I've mentioned it in my previous post, I'm playing of tactitian mode which is the highest.

I'm kinda enjoying these spikes, they create massive challenges which gives me a completely different outcome which I'm hoping for at that moment, boost my curiosity! Although the combat get way difficult in the process which is fine for me. I prefer having challenges in games I like.

Still in ACT 1, if it gets unbearable then I can always change my difficulty.

I wonder how long game will this take to platinum.

Which ones?

Fallout is already taken.

Larian cannot revive Planescape: Torment. Their writing is not on same level.

Neverwinter Nights as well! I think Neverwinter Nights 2 was one of the very first CRPG games that I played - and it was absolutely mind-blowing. Too bad the current Bioware is an almost-dead studio that has nowhere near the quality that they had when they were independent. They used to create so many amazing IPs. Also, based on the quality of BG3 - I think Larian might be able to do Planescape: Torment as well (They have to learn to dial back the goofy elements and they should be able to do it)

One of the reasons I'm afraid of Larian being acquired by anyone. Many times it just kills creativity and freedom.

How do you revive fallen team mates?

I remember in older games you needed a specific (expensive) spell or travel to a city to get priest blessing.

NWN 2 was Obsidian. Yeah, it was pretty good. Mainly due to DND ruleset I think.

Not sure about this. I really enjoyed DOS 2, spent 150 hrs on it. But gotta say, I skipped all dialogue.

Maybe BG2 is better. But Planescape Torment was different level. Whole book worth of text and I read every word of it.

I need to see how Torment: tides of numenera is. Must be ok, going by writing in Wasteland 3. But it's too low budget title. Looks rough. Has stopped me from trying.

Larian will not get acquired by anyone as long as their games are financially successful.

Ninja theory always used to take pride in being a independent studios, but due their financial situation they had to open themselves to acquisition.

There's a recive spell (scroll) which is expensive and I've never found more than 2 in the wilds, recieved 1 from a task. Used them all.

I restart if my main dies, save before and after a fight helps. If there's a surprise attack then you're screwed.

This game's length is humongous, it took me 50 hrs just to clear out single map which has 3 layers on it and I've not even completed the first act. There's so much to be explored and tons of secrets to discover.

The jump/misty abilities are the best ones to discover new areas, you find new secrets everywhere like each step. Devs have literally handcrafted is so well that players will be famished.

Highly recommended to the people who like turn based action RPG. This is a proper one.

Oh, each encounter can be done so differently, you can change each NPCs fate as you will. Just like in real life. This is where I feel developers have nailed it. The asking price even for PS5 is worth it for the game like this.

More reviews need to come. They will take down opencritic score by a couple of points.

How is SM Odeyssey so high? :scratchchin:Recently finished it. Way too high IMO. 9/10 game for sure but not more than that.
