Overwatch 2 is the globe-spanning sequel to Blizzard Entertainment’s acclaimed team-based game, building upon the original’s battle-honed foundation and carrying forward everything players have earned into a new era of epic competition and team play. Square off against rivals in PvP modes, and explore the Overwatch universe firsthand in all new, fully cooperative missions that challenge the world’s heroes to team up, power up, and take on an overwhelming outbreak of threats around the globe.

  • Current Overwatch players will battle side-by-side with Overwatch 2 players in PvP multiplayer; they’ll also be able to play Overwatch 2 heroes and maps.
  • Your accomplishments and loot collections will be carried forward to Overwatch 2. That means you’ll keep your skins, player icons, sprays, emotes, and more!

Current players can play OW2 without buying it. PvE and story is paid.

Basically, PvP element of overwatch and overwatch 2 is the same. If you get OW2, you get PvE. No need of getting the sequel if you don't want PvE

Is there a slight graphic upgrade though? Mixed opinion on internet in general.

This game seems like it could have been an update of the current overwatch.

Blizzard scamming as usual. The PvE was awful yesterday on booth stream. There is nothing new or upgraded when it comes to PvP other than Push mode. The changes in characters are all just minor skins/color changes.

Given how OW is dead at the moment, they had to push this out to bring back the audience.

man .....show us more about the new characters

I'd like to know more about sojurn. Yet to watch the blizzcon event videos.....hope there is decent co-op in this game.

The seasonal events in overwatch are fun...but lost interest with that within a day or so :P just the rewards such as sprays etc were the only reason i played it again.

There'd better be a good SP this time around

Watched the full 38 minute video.

There's not much here for PvP players. It's almost all PvE stuff. It looks good. Skill tree like Borderlands.

New maps. They showed New York, Rome. They mentioned India and showed a bit of it too.

For PvP they're changing the role of tanks to be more like brawlers.
