Hi guys , so my problem is that my 1 and a half year old ps4 is now starting to shut down randomly without any overheating warning

I am thinking about a complete teardown and giving it a good clean and also replacing the thermal paste while at it

Now what i want to know is if i do remove the warranty sticker from the back will Sony service center still do the replacement procedure of my console , has anybody tried it

Any input will be very much appreciated

Hi bro, hope you know you can get it replaced for half the mrp if you still possess the warranty card and invoice.

Like Ngaged said above, once the console is opened warranty is void. It is clearly stated in the terms of warranty.

Just curious, if you open up the system to replace the hard drive with a bigger one, does that void the warranty too?

I didnt want any hassle so I got an external HDD to use on my PS4 since its only 5 months old and well within warranty.

Na you don’t have to open the console up to access the hard disk, Sony has given us a separate provision. So you can swap Hdd without effecting warranty.

Ahh good to know. If I fill up my external storage I might just do that.
