My parents and I thought we'd watch Zero Dark Thirty, as we'd never got a chance to see it before. We generally liked movies of the type.......

We watched the movie through, pretty good. I totally see why Jessica Chastain got that oscar nomination.

Now I'm surprised how Jennifer Lawrence scored that one. I have seen Silver Linings Playbook, liked it but it wasn't this good.

Anyway, please suggest family friendly movies. Curse words, drug use and violence is fine.

No to nude sex scenes and graphic torture scenes.

Rotten Tomatoes is messed up.

Tokyo Drift is my favourite FF film. They gave it a 40%. Blah.

We have discussed this so many times in this thread. That's not how rotten tomatoes work. If every movie critic just likes the movie and they take their score. Its 100%. Fresh. Its like a 50-50 thing. You are either here or there.

Watch Wonder (2017) if you haven't. It's one of the most wholesome and feel-good family-friendly movies I've watched.

It might be a little sappy but I guess most of such movies are :P

Also, if you don't mind a few sexual references, then give Little Miss Sunshine a watch. It's f**king awesome!

Ooh yeah I've seen Wonder Woman alright. Its such a good movie. But my parents haven't seen it, so good suggestion. I'll do that.

I don't mind sappy.

I'll check that one, haven't seen it. Thanks man :)

Am more surprised that violence/cursing/drug usage is okay but nudity isn't.

Same year, I didn't even notice lmao :D

But yeah, I guess I'll watch both of them now. Thank you xD

Edit- Ohh this is the one with Owen Wilson it it. I've seen the trailer and stuff but never got the chance to see the film itself. I'll definitely watch this one!

There's also Shazam. Really wholesome and funny movie.

Remember watching that at the movies. 10% superhero,90% comedic genius.

Although its probably not the kind of thing my parents would like.

They'd probably like something more serious I guess.

But if Shazam is on Netflix/Prime, I'll see if they wanna give it a watch.

Technically anything works, but the no nudity thing is for me. Its kinda embarrassing with my parents next to me.

They're aren't any barriers as such. Like if you cut out the nudity and sex scenes from Wolf of Wall Street it would be fine.

(Picked something thats up there in terms of drug use and cursing)

As for family friendly movie - Paddington 1 and 2. Absolute joy to watch for all.

I've seen the first one myself.

Will try to watch both, my family would probably enjoy these. Thanks!

Has anybody seen Whiplash? (JK Simmons, Miles Teller)

I don't think I should have any trouble with that one if I watch with my family....

Whiplash is one of my favorites. No nudity or anything but it can get kinda heavy. Really dope movie.

Perfect. Will watch this tomorrow. Its the kind of thing my family would like too.

The premise is pretty unique, and JK Simmons got an oscar for it, so I'm sure its gonna be good.

Thanks for the heads up :)

Whiplash is so good. Maybe not watch it with family though. Indian parents are probably gonna watch that and be like "That JK Simmons is a pretty good teacher. Wish teachers at my kids school were like that." :/
