About to watch Top Gun: Maverick in 4DX. It's been a while since I've been so excited to see a movie purely based on word-of-mouth!

The movie is an experience. I'm so, so glad that I got to experience it in 4DX. It was made for it, I felt. Even after almost a month since it's release, the cinema hall was almost full with only a few empty seats. It's extremely rare to see a movie with such kind of theatre-longevity these days.

The story is kinda cliche, but that's totally alright! Not all stories have to take risks and be totally out-of-the-box. It even kinda reminded me of Creed in some parts.

My wife hadn't seen the original and despite that, she thoroughly enjoyed it, too. Like I said, it's a wonderful experience to watch this movie. Since I've seen it in 4DX now, I simply cannot imagine the same feeling in a normal theatre for this movie. But if anyone hasn't seen it yet, even if it's a normal theatre, please watch it on a big screen. If there was ever a movie to experience on the big screen, this is the one!

Finally watched the Uncharted movie, yoinked the 4K and it was a good afternoon.

Truth be told, I enjoyed the movie. It wasn't especially amazing, and I would naturally compare having played the games - but I've spent hundreds of hours playing as Nathan Drake so it is to be expected that the experience won't be as good with a 2 hour movie.

However - it was entertaining, the jokes were funny, the callbacks to the game are there, the chemistry between Nate and Sully is going on the right direction - and most importantly they didn't change the essence of the games. It FEELS Uncharted enough. The plot structure as well as how events usually develop in these games.

Looking forward to more movies if they make 'em. 8/10.

Also, Nathan Drake bartending - that was new and I like it.

Saw 'Interceptor' on Netflix.  A decent (albeit low budget) action movie.  Not much of a plot, but decent action sequences kept me engaged even on a week night.

Also, found out later that the leading lady is Chris Hemsworth's wife (was wondering why would that guy make a cameo in such a small budget action movie lol) !!

Saw it as well. I thought it was a continuation of his fat dumb Thor persona.

Saw doctor strange. Mixed feelings, Enjoyed it in bits and pieces.

Also is it just me or the cgi was really bad compared to other marvel movies.

ps: First scene somehow reminded me of spiderman 2002.

I didn't think it was any worse than your average Marvel movie but I did feel that certain parts of the movie were too cartoonish in comparison to Dr. Strange scenes from the previous movies.

Looked much better on the big screen. I saw it again on Hotstar yday and it didn't feel as impactful.

Watched The Black Phone last night and found it to be strictly okay.

Not a whole lot to praise apart from the central performances. Ethan Hawke was great as always, and the kids were really good too.

The movie reminded me of Doctor Sleep at times, but is quite inferior and forgettable in comparison.

It's still decent enough for a watch, but only if you have nothing better to do.

Stumbled upon this awesome poster on r/movieposterporn and was reminded of how much I loved this movie as a kid.

Such a shame they don't make movies like this anymore.

And of course, this scene still manages to give me chills. I guess it's time for a rewatch.

Loved this movie as well. They actually remade this in 2011 with Jason Momoa.
