I didn't find much blatant stupidity like it was in Kong vs Godzilla or Army of the dead or recent dumb movies. It's pretty straightforward, apart from the weird portal jump during time travel. Aliens were menacing too. Way better than watching tenet lol. I guess the first half is uselessly long. Second half is where the movie finds its footing. Could have easily trimmed 20 mins off the whole movie. Army of the Dead was a better watch IMO - just because Snyder bought in a bigger concept of different types to zombies (King, Queen etc), and can allow a couple of movies focussing on the larger zombieverse. TTW is a not-so-good mish mash of OG Independence Day, Alien, Promotheus and Edge of Tomorrow. And isn't as good as any of them. The characters were super forgettable and didn't care if they lived or died. Gonna have to agree with IGN on this one.All the clichés of sci fi action movie are present here, Falling into water from 1000 feet causes no damage, helicopters explode on impact, unlimited ammo cheat code, etc. The writing was bad, the dialogue was bad, emotional scenes fell flat. Movie was overall boring with only a few good moments. In Jeremy Jahn's words, You're not gonna remember this movie in T-1 hour, yup already forgot. But turns out it's some Resistance game tier meme where the Ayys landed in Russia in ancient times. Chris Pratt was a waste in this. Also Miranda doesn't look like Miranda except the face wtf.
