Walker
Watched Talk to Me. I normally avoid any type of gore, especially turned off when it just a gorefest. This was not one of those. There was some gore but the storytelling and the performances had me on the edge of my seat throughout. Its suitably terrifying, especially one scene that plays out in the hospital. Just leaves you a bit unsettled. Would recomend for horror fans. 8/10.
Ne0
Saw the movie AIR on prime video. What a fantastic movie man , it’s such a joy to watch Matt Damon and Ben affleck on screen together…. One of the best no nonsense sports/business movie I’ve seen so far…. Why don’t our Film makers make movies like this ? Don’t we have such interesting stories to tell ? All we get is emotional over dramatic excesses with song and dance routines :-/ I think 83 and Dangal are the only good sports dramas I’ve seen in Bollywood in recent years !! Hardly has any dialogues in this movie too, he just stares & scares. The other guy prithviraj has so much more dialogues and screen space tbh. Its complete directors movie. Built the world and made everything look spectacular.

Ne0
Saw CODA on Apple+. Went thru a roller coaster of emotions, very few movies can make you both chuckle and well up at the same time. I felt it completely deserved it’s academy for best picture. Also I think the Dolby vision implementation on Apple+ is the best among all streaming platforms currently. The movie looked phenomenal !! It has been a good week so far in terms of movies for me, First AIR(prime video) and now this. Both amazing movies Edited January 16, 2024 by Ne0

Jiocinema is building up a great collection of movies and TV shows though. Now only if they can get rights to Fargo. KnackChap
Saw Hanuman. Decent one time watch. Given the budget the vfx and production values are incredible. It reminded me a lot of Stephen chow’s kung fu hustle with its blend of small hamlet setting & how humour is intertwined in the screenplay. Loved the backstory of the villain & the homage it pays to MCU. and that climax is just wow. Had already seen it on yt but watching it on the big screen is something else. Still got goosebumps.

achilles
If you haven't seen it yet, I'd still say catch it in theatres first. Me? I'd like to wait for the BD, thanks.

I know I am in the minority but this movie was so unstructured and all over the place with weird pacing, the action sequences felt flat and artificial maybe because I have watched john wick 4 and old boy recently. blitzkreiig
Didn't watch it on OTT, don't want to ruin the theater experience I had. Really liked it then.

Same feelings…. As if the Director got limited dates of Anil Kapoor & Bobby Deol or paid pretty much less to lower the budget & the movie hardly focuses on the Father Son relation or the Cold Blooded Animosity advertised in the promos. So he decided to fill up the entire movie with out of no where masculinity sequences to get cheap reactions from Dude Bro Launda crowd. Bobby Deol specially after so much hype & promotions about him being the real super star after this is just another goon that could have been played by pretty much any side actor without even an ounce of change in quality of this movie. This is infact the perfect example of how something so trivial can be promoted into something godly just my marketing & cheap un coordinated pleasure sequences towards a particular targeted audience.
