It doesn’t happen instantaneously.

Specially when there is a week coalition government where ppl know it’d be dropping anytime.

Takes time for tenures & replacements.

Right wing wasn’t influencing Bollywood at all before the 2000’s.

Border & Sarfarosh & Bombay were organically released without any political influences or affiliations.

It was the mood of the nation & that’s sarvochh & sarva priya 🙌🏽

When modi came in power, censor board chief immediately resigned himself. He knew, government will replace him. So he left on his own. Government always put their people in power in these institutions without wasting time.

When BJP came in power in 1998, that year immediately they appointed Asha Parekh as new CBFC chief and she stayed in power for entire NDA term till 2004.

Fact remains Sarfarosh was NOT released in Congress era. Aamir himself said anti Pakistan movies were not possible before 1998 as CBFC wont let us release such movies. You were not allowed to call Pakistan a terrorist country in movies before 1998.

And it doesn't matter whether  Sarfarosh had any influence or not. Only thing im trying to point out here that how film makers were NOT allowed to make anti Pakistan or anti isi movies in India which talks about Pakistan based terrorism before 1998.

Border was only exception, but Border was about 1971 war and didn't talk about sponsored terrorism in Pakistan.  So Congress allowed it coz in 1971 War Indira Gandi was in power and movie was based on 1971 war which boasted Indira Gandhi image in the country as strong leader.

Bombay movie was not related to Pakistan and it showed local riots, but didnt attack any community in the movie. It did monkey balancing and held both communities responsible and all.

But Atal Bihari didn’t come with a 290 seat majority of his own party.

No one resigned after Atal Came to power……trust me.

Before 2000’s no one even paid heed to the BJP let alone resign out of fear.

Making a AAA movies with a Khan to please them is out of question.

Lol wdym trust you. Bjp appointed Asha Parekh as CBFC chief in 1998, moment they were in power. You can Google and check.

Doesn't matter, majority or not. Bjp was in power. You can change positions without being in Majority.  Congress never had majority number of 272 since 1989 on their own. They were ruling with support of regional party only and changing positions in institutions and passing all sorts of laws while being in a Coliation.

After Rajiv Gandhi Congress never formed government on their own with majority.

Moment new party comes in power, Coliation or majority, they immediately change CBI, ED, EC, IB, RAW, CBFC and other government institutions Chief working officers with their own people. It happens everywhere not just in India.

How ‘Dhurandhar’ is a prime example of government-embedded filmmaking - The Hindu https://share.google/gy1muf1I2YjyEVHCF

This is a fair critic, because it details out what problems Leftist have with Dhurandhar.

To summarise, Leftist are ok with complete fiction (jetpacks, bikini clad ISI agents...) but if there are Facts presented, everything should be covered to have the monkey balancing.

For example, it is ok to portray 26/11 attack but "some Pakistani newspapers calling it out" needs to be shown as well. If underworld of Lyari is shown, it also needs to show that "Lyari is mini-brazil with culture of football and pop music". [There was Ranveer playing football though]

In the end, monkeybalancing is needed for these losers. And filmmakers should never dare bringing positive light on current govt, at any cost.

I think after Dhurandhar, filmmakers won't bother about reviews. Audience sees through their buffoonery.

Problem is the part where Doval’s look alike implies that 2004-9 government didn’t bother when their own minister sold Currency Plates & some UP minister (of same time) allowed to flow fake currency in through Nepal.

Also the lack of security even after warning was given that an attack is imminent through sea ports.

This is whats caused burnlol 🔥

Also the fact that the same character emphasis how one day a stronger government & leaders will rise both at Centre & in UP to turn countries fortunes.

This is clearly political but nothing that hasn’t been done in past movies.

Rang De Basanti was clearly anti BJP/NDA-1 & depicted them in bad negative light.

Many such instances in the past.

This is what I am saying they want all certified facts or all fiction, nothing in between.

They are not even ok with even a bit of dramatization, or anything that is not in public domain, but could be known to filmmakers during their research.

Like Doval has mentioned the incidence that noone replied to his Bharat Mata ki jai.

Now movie shows Terrorist saying to Doval that "Hindus bahut darpok hote hai", reviewers for that says "there is no record of it".

This was the same case with Kashmir Files, without knowing about incidents they claimed it's propoganda, like that rice drum thing and when they were told this happened with this family....they feigned ignorance.

My dad when he was in the bank told about Fake currency notes issue, there is something people don't know which went on for years and prolly still happening.

Well politics is politics.

If there was a single factual proof that George Fernandes accepted bribes in MiG 21 deals or P.Chidambrum sold off Currency plates then they would be behind bars instead of being accused in movies.

There is proof & then there is speculative chatter.

Both will accuse each other of fake narrative & propaganda.

There is no proof for either of those things however.... The paper thing was real, somehow the same company mentioned in the movie was supplying paper to both India and Pakistan.

Though it's far fetched that chidambram sold the plates or the paper company would have access to it.

BTW Years ago, when I lived in Indore. Nearby town Dewas which has RBI press. There was a person caught printing US Dollars.

And FBI came in to investigate.

So I don't think the tech is so complicated that one cannot do without plates.

Saw these movies recently :

- Dhurandhar: I felt this movie was really well made. I went to the morning show over a week ago, and the theater was like 70% full on a weekday. I think most of the people there were couples (like us) who dropped off their kids at school and came to watch it. There were a few scenes that were pretty violent and showed things in graphic detail, which was a bit tough to sit through. There was pin-drop silence in the theater during the red screen/phone call scene. I think the movie tries to give you a realistic look at what a spy’s life is like (with a few minor cinematic liberties which is totally fine). Everyone in the cast did an amazing job!

- Avatar: Fire and Ash: In terms of the plot, this movie didn’t really bring anything new to the table. It’s pretty much the same old formula as the first two movies. But on the technical front, I found it to be the most impressive of the trilogy. I felt the 3D images were much crisper, and the special effects were some of the best I’ve ever seen in a movie. I went for the morning show today, and it was almost housefull.

- F1: I watched this movie on Apple+. It was a great movie, even though it had the usual Hollywood tropes of such “coming back” movies. I loved the races, though. It’s hard to make a movie on f1 races without getting too technical/documentary, but they did a really good job of making it interesting/engaging.  Also, being a millennial, it was funny to see Brad Pitt being referred to as “elderly” more than once lol !

Saw Avatar Fire and Ash.

I really liked the first half. But by the end I was really disappointed with it.

Pros:

Looks amazing as usual. You genuinely forget that you're watching CG characters and not straight up live-action. 3D is great too. I think nowadays this is the only movie that delivers good 3D.

Acting was good. No major complaints.

Cons:

The movie feels like Avatar 2: Part 2 instead of Avatar 3. The subtitle is "Fire and Ash" but there's only ONE scene that takes place in the volcanic ash-lands. Rest of the movie takes place completely in the Water and Floating Rocks / Jungle area we've already seen in the past movies. This is my biggest complaint and is the most disappointing part. Avatar Way Of Water felt so different with the new water creatures, a whole host of new characters and all and here in this movie there's not a single new creature from the Volcanic area and there's only one new character from the Ash tribe. (The villain lady from the trailers)

2nd biggest complaint: The entire last hour of the movie feels the exact same as the last hour of previous movie. Story beats are the exact same, happening in the same place. Similar big climax happens. I dont want to say more for spoilers reasons but by the end of the movie the overall story progress is almost 0.

Apparently both 2 and 3 were filmed togther and unfortunately it shows. Lots of shared locations and characters and even story. Almost feels like this was some kind of parallel movie to 2. Like maybe it was all one movie and then they split off some arcs into this but they neede to converge into the same finale so they just re-did the finale again.

Anyway enough of a rant. I know Avatar has never been great on story but I was really hoping to see new fire based creatues and sh*t.
