This reference is all over X.

It is a genuinely once in a generation Indian Movie.

It’s the Sholay of our generation & will be the benchmark for many decades for Bollywood masala Story Telling.

Patriotism is obviously the base of this film but it shouldn’t be compared the dime a dozen in your face (to be trendy) Us vs Them movies that we are witnessing these days.

It’s got genuine flavours like none other before.

D2 is not as good as D1 in certain areas but in some areas excels it

What I didn't like is that it tries too hard to join loose ends and connect movie to real events

Secondly, Shashwat Sachdeva lost to his best in D1, score from D1 was always too difficult to top

Modi asslicking bahut nauseous lagi in this time jab loude Lage pade hai desh ke, largely thanks to him

What D2 does extremely well is violence. There hasn't been any better Indian movie which makes you like the gore, because it's not monotonous

The ending though is poetic, it couldn't have ended better than how it did

Major Iqbal doesn't fill in for Rehman Malik but this was certainly the role of lifetime for Rampal

His character is built beautifully and his relationship with his maniac father gave very interesting depth

The twist at the end was also contradicting with the events of the first film.

As if it was added on later to the script post release of D1.

Apart from the weird a*s licking in your face justification of Demonetisation(bringing the country to standstill to prevent something that could have happened many other ways).

And that last minute twist.

This series is going down in history as today’s Sholay.

where did ya'll find Modi's a*s licking?

Movie never celebrates Demonetization , it also doesn't show it's repercussions, it's shown in the context of the Film, which is war against Terrorism (not Pak, but Terrorism). :exoticdance:

one part where 2nd let me down was, usage of real footages, 1st one had that awe value cuz of that, 2nd one doesn't capitalize on it :wallbash:

Exactly. It shows impact of it only in Pakistan based terrorists. It never celebrates it or goes in detail. I think showing 10 sec clip of Modi created the most khujli. Lol.

Its a fact that demonetization affected fake currency circulation from Pakistan. Javed Khanani died right after demonetization and there was sharp reduce in stone pelting in Kashmir and terrorist attacks from total of 45 across India between (2004-2014) to four between (2016 to 2026).  So it did impact fake currency network in the country in some form along with improvement in intelligence network. No one can deny it.  Im ready to debate and counter anyone on this topic.

Also this news just came

When you literally show the actual announcement that happened by the actual man’s footage who greenlit it.

You are obviously trying to bring it out from the context of the movie & the domain of real life as it happened.

It is an obvious & blatant white wash attempt to justify how it played out & quite foolish one at that.

It actually makes the real life events & the script of the movie quite foolish because of the reasoning given!!

Not much different from those dime a dozen bhakt meme’s that celebrate “hum toh chudde woh theek hai but Pakistan zaroor chudna chahiye”.

Creating a life or death like situation on the streets that took hundreds of lives officially(un officially in thousands) just to prevent an entry of 60k cr. fake notes specifically when you know who,how & when before hand is the most deluded stupidity crafted into a movie trying to propagate & promote the sitting head of state.

Every one & their moms know by now that the biggest & main agenda behind that act was to wipe out opposition funding overnight.

Sudden introduction of Political Bonds following that move made it blatantly obvious.

So the entire funding infrastructure was designed to give the one in power a Herculean advantage over the ones in opposition in the entire central & state political spectrum.

Since I am in the government I can see who is funding whom but the opposition will be totally blind.

Why the f**k would anyone unhappy with the current government even want to fund & be at the gun point starting the very next day?!

anyway it was good or bad in the long term is debate for another day & place.

But the movie’s white wash attempt makes it even more ridiculously stupid then what ppl thought of it in their minds.

Who told u all this nonsense?  Give some source. Dont tell me you learned that from watching some social media influencer sitting in foreign country or some guy on twitter gave u this information? I know you hangout on Twitter alot Lol

Matlab kuch bhi? Opposition parties has many sources of funding. Most opposition parties ruled india for decades, congress ruled 50 years. They have foreign bank accounts like Swiss bank, 100s of different  properties and many NGOs who work for these  parties, they have no shortage of funds plus there were no elections in 2016. Next general election was 2019. None of them were affected by funding, Congress made massive new office in Delhi in 2017 lol. No major political party in India is gareeb, they always have money to fight elections.

Dont peddle nonsense that it was done to only target opposition funding lmao. It has to be some twitter post which gave you this information lol.

And Ignore movie, it was fictional movie inspired from real events.

How about we talk based on facts. Yes, demonetization did caused short pain to many including my family,  we were in lines as well and hated it back then but when i look back now, i realised it was important step. Its a given fact it did kill fake currency circulation and also forced ppl who hoard black money in houses to put money back in bank and push digital payment system UPI.  Now i don't think black money completely went away and it will never go away in India but no one can deny the fact it did reduce terrorist attacks in India and did ended Naxalites funding network as well.

It didn't affect any politicians or ended local corruption much in big way but it put major dent on foreign funding network based in Pakistan.

https://www.efsas.org/publications/study-papers/demonetization-–-india’s-attack-on-terrorism/

Between 2004 and 2014 under UPA, India experienced over 45 major terrorist incidents, resulting in over 1,100 civilian casualties, with high-profile attacks in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, and Bengaluru. Major attacks included the 2006 Mumbai train bombings, 2008 Mumbai attacks, 2010 Pune blast, and 2011 Mumbai bombings.

Between 2014 to present - India experienced total 4 or 5 attacks, almost all were in Kashmir. Uri, Pathankot, Palgham (3 in Kashmir) and recent Delhi car blast from those so called Doctors.

Hurting funding network and boosting security network resulted in such drastic reduction

Demonetization was very bold move which could have hurt Modi badly in future election but clearly opposite happened and ppl supported it with bigger mandate. This proves ppl supported demonetization and i think pappu being a man child also helps current party in election lol.

Current government has problems, but they much better when it comes to national security than any opposition party in India and its a fact.

Watch Ex IG on Atiq Ahmed links with ISI and LeT links and how he used Fake currency from Pakistan to expand his gang network and bribe officials and politicians in U.P that time.

He no political leader. He ex IG.

Watch it.

Counter me with facts not with nonsense twitter posts. Next time you reply to me, show me some credible source to back your argument  :)

Any half educated citizen using their brain would know what was happening.

But it took Supreme Court exactly 7 years to take notice what was going on….

Now I’m in no way justifying Cash for Corruption & Political funding.

Just outlining that every political party or leader has their own ulterior interests & motives.

No one is actually a messiah or anything as projected.

Did anybody notice, how shashwat sachdev kind of took “inspiration” from soundtracks of movies like requiem for a dream, rush, dark knight in the background score?

no complaints though, they fit in perfectly well.

Super awesome movie. Both movies feel poles apart but at the same time they both are awesome. Very difficult to say which one is better, cause i like both alot for different reasons. All in all would like love to own a physical 4k version of the movie and hope they do release it. Same with the soundtrack.

does the movie mention that it's Histography or Biography or a Documentary? at the start itself it's written " Based on incredibly true events "... does it mentions " Documentary "? If the producer himself doesn't want you to view this movie as a documentary, then why tf are you forcing yourself for it to be one? did the demonetization affect the terrorist activities? yes it did, and that was the only point it made, no political view no noting, you are making it Political

He didnt get the score as good as D1

Caravan ki Talash and Shararat are probably the best music of 2025

But Tamma Tamma couldn't have been at better time

Superb timing
