I’ve not subscribed to PS extra but the upgrade value shows rs. 2914 till Sept 2024. Kinda tempted?  Would it make more sense to stack up PSN plus essential and then upgrade? Is there a better deal like that ala Gamepass?

in my knowledge, cost works out the same both ways. But best to wait for a 25% or similar sale before upgrading to or buying more of any tier, if you can wait. There have been a couple of great sales on all sub tiers in the past 6 odd months

I have gone through the discussion and from what I understand

 

Essential tier for 3000 is enough to play games like Horizon forbidden west etc?

 

Deluxe tier for 5000 if i want to play remastered ps4 games?

 

Recetly purchased ps5 and have 0 idea. Have played most ps4 games that I wanted to play so not interested in any ps4 game only bought this for ps5 games.

Also my nephew has my ps4 and if i buy pls+extra on ps5 and the same account is logged into ps4 will my nephew be able to play games from ps4 catalog and i will be able to play games from catalog for ps5? 

 

 

PS:- (pun not intended) A lot of games like Division 2 which i havent played yet only show PS4 Sign. Will i be still able to play on ps5?

Yes. And yes.

 

The PS4 sign means that there's only the PS4 version of the game available and there's no PS5 update for that game. Basically, the game will run as a backward compatible game. Case in point, The Division 2, Tekken 7, etc.

Essential tier is basically old PS Plus  and doesn't give you Horizon Forbidden west 

Extra tier is the one with Game catalogue and gives you HFW and other games. As well as all benefits of Essential..And extra tier costs 5000.

Deluxe tier is the highest and costs 5800 which lets you play PS4 remasters and also.some classic - PS1/2 games .

So the games that have only PS4 sign are not playabe if i go for "Extra" tier.

2023 has been crazy af and it’s only April.
