What’s the resolution like in Performance mode now?!

 

It was 1440p @ 40fps last I checked.

 

Later they added performance mode but don’t know resolution.

If Sony doesn't allow you to update to the PS5 version (free upgrade) then yeah you might be better of buying it. 

In case of RE7 (which was a part of PS plus collection) you couldn't upgrade the PS4 version to PS5 version.

Both, the PS4 and PS5 versions of RE2 are listed as coming to the Game Catalog.

For people considering their sub renewal, found this post on reddit worth sharing -

 

"I mentioned in a post of mines that if you just want to redeem the Ps plus essential games, you can get 3 months of games for essentially $10. Subscribe on February 5th for 1 month ($10) and redeem January's games. Then on February 6th, redeem February's games. February is a shorter month and the 1 month subscription is just 30 days, so you'll be able to redeem March.

For April and May, you can subscribe on April 15th to redeem April's games and 30 days later (May 15th), you will have already redeemed May's games.

Now you will have hit June when the supposed sale is supposed to happen. With just $20, you would have redeemed almost half a years worth of games. Hope this helps anyone."

Although, Jan is already pretty good. They can get Plague tale requiem.

"I’d like to add something to it. Don’t turn auto renewal off, and use a card that only has that exact amount. When subscription expires the system will try charging your card for some days before cutting you off. Gives you some time in case of games getting postponed."

RE7 was given on PSplus Collection before the next gen version was released.

 

If & when a game is added to PSplus AFTER it’s next gen release then the PS5 version is part of the deal by default.

 

Also PSplus Essential service is a lot different the PSplus Extra’s catalogue/GamePass system.

 

They make a deal with the publisher for the package available on that day.

Post that day if some content or upgrade is added to the Game then it can’t be part of the old deal.

 

It’s a library system for the subscriber to keep forever.

 

RE2 will be removed from the catalogue sooner or later but RE7 will be part of the library forever.
