The ones who give out games 1st day free are anyway bekaar. Most of them are 6/10 games propped up only because they are accessible at no extra cost.

The devs half-a*s their work as there's no sales bonus or milestone perks, and consumers end up with mediocre to trash games, but can't speak out about it because one should be happy with it since it's part of the rental service.

Ppl who are used to piracy obviously will route for Day1 Games on subscription service.

They never cared about the long term ongoing content & health of the industry.

 

It’s a pipe dream obviously.

Promised ages back by M$ but being delivered only lately with new wave of Acti-Bizz & Zenimax titles joining in.

 

They have already indicated they can’t afford to continue the same GamePass entry as ppl are used to so far.

 

It’s already 5 times more compared to past sweat deals & soon will be defacto $20 a month.

If you multiplatform owner then Nintendo services complete useless.  You buying mostly for Zelda or Mario then going back to your regular console or PC to play online.

 

Sony eventually adds big games on to their service after few months but Nintendo even after 4 or 5 years dont add AAA current games to services. So you basically paying to play NES games, online multiplayer which majority Nintendo users dont use iam sure and cloud saves.

Anyone comparing paid subscription service to piracy is complete A grade retarded. 

 

Inn gadhon ko bataye saalun you pay monthly subscription just like Netflix and Disney plus and all. Devs are paid upfront big amount and also paid based on number of downloads. This is how gamepass works and im sure PS works same way.

 

 

Buying used copies from IVG tp =  helping devs but playing game via subscription is hurting devs.

 

You buying used copy is actually hurting the devs more but we have so many people defend that sh*t here coz they dont have any other option to play games cheap on PS5. Lol

 

Subscription services which actually helps devs get paid upfront and then later based on downloads is hurting the devs

You will buy Doom or play via gamepass?  Support devs buy it or Id studio will get closed. Remember buying used copy or very late at discount not actually helping devs or IP anyway.

 

 

 

FIFA is part of EA Pro. People still buy it. Disney releases their big name IPs on subscription service and their value still high. Its all come down to quality of product offered. If its good then value will remain high. People will also buy it,  even if its on subscription, just to own the game. 

 

Incase of Nintendo, their Wiiu games aldo not available on service afaik lol.

 

 

This not about console war or anything. Im talking from consumer perspective. Options should be there imo.

It's kinda good fit for such folk. They'll gladly shove mediocrity down their throats and be content with it.

Personally, just want great games on the platform of my choice. And with PS curbstomping another competitor (Xbox), forcing them to go third party, I'm not missing much 😊

No one is saying options shouldn't be there. But to expect everyone to hand out their games for free day 1 just because MS is doing it (out of desperation) is idiotic. Just because MS is doing it doesn't mean its a right of consumers to demand and ask for every game to be day 1 on one of the services. Nintendo's games sell for full prices years after their releasr, obv they won't hand out their games for 60 dolar yearly sub.

Fifa games are on sub because it is an annual franchise and most of its revenue is not from game sales but microtransactions. There is a huge difference between a game like that and games that Nintendo makes. They only make 1 Mario Kart or 3d Mario in an entire generation. Why would they devalue their games when literally anyone buying their system is being it for those games and will buy them no matter how old they are. Nintendo's sub is like 20 dollars a year and Switch is not BC with Wii U. If you are expecting AAA games for 20 dollars a year, that is your fault, not theirs.

I find value in the essential possibly because I have a big backlog and I don't care of the new releases. I haven't seen a good MP since Uncharted esque which I can dedicated my life too .

Lmao Disney+ has 120 million subscribers  

Plus it has another 200 million subscribers through Disney+Hotstar(now JioHotsar)  

 

Bafoons like to compare Gaming subscriptions with megatons like these & Netflix which don’t even release the mega budget movies on day1  

 

Plus the economics & demographic of Gaming is much different than Movies & TV shows!!

Wii sold 100m too. Its most preferred console for casual gamers. IPs are casual friendly. Cheap and casual friendly portable console. 

 

 

And debate was for value of Nintendo service not over popularity of console. Its worst service in terms of value. Even PS plus offers better value coz you will eventually get current gen high quality games few months after launch, unlike Nintendo service which will only offer you NES and SNES era games mostly on rotation basis. Switch 2 is BC, so hopefully they will improve games offering in future.

There is a huge difference between Wii and Switch. Wii was a casual system, that is why the attach rate od games was less compared to other systems and console sales fell in 4 years. Switch in its 7th years sells more than what MS will dream of selling in their 2nd. Attach rate of games is literally the best of any console of all time which reflects the core install base of that system. Anyone equating the two is wrong and has no idea what they are talking about.

 

Also, it is irrelevant how good or bad their sub is because their core revenue generator is their games, unlike MS ehoch has nothing except their sub service. No one buys their systems, no one will buy most of their games outside of their sub service. Thats the difference

Retarded people truly   Constant flow of money to devs via subscription is hurting devs but buying used copy which gives no return to devs is helping the industry.
