Destruction All Stars is the same game that was delayed and was sold for $70???

Yuss. Then they removed it from the Store altogether stating we'd be getting it as part of Feb Games. 70$ didn't make sense for this anyway, it has paid cosmetics I presume.

Destruction all stars is being given away on PSPLUS at launch is a huge deal in itself

Can anyone confirm if Non PS5 owners can get it into their library aswell

I guess this is the best time to get PSplus (&PS5)

Yuss, this is along the lines of BugSnax and Maneater, you can add it to your library through app or website.

Also the Ultimate edition is exact same SKU as base game+DLC despite what Remedy says. It doesn't even change the dashboard icon like other ultimate editions. If you have base game installed you don't have to download anything (except DLC).

So if I have save games from the standard Control edition and want to play just the DLC's, then I can carryover the progression from the base game.

This on PS4.

According to @WhiteWolf - MS Xbox refund policy is one of the  best - on par with Steam. So just get it refunded and claim it on PS+.

Lol u still salty over that conversation we had about policies i see lol.

I never said its on par with Steam or GOG. I said its better than Sony. Sony atm got most amount of anti consumer policies and you defend all of them. Nice

And as far as refund is concerned then he should definitely try for it. If he has not played more than 4 hours then i suggest apply for refund. Give reason like accidental purchase or purchase by someone else or tell them that you weren't aware that Control was available on GP and as GP subscriber want to play there and not this version. They should give you refund.

Out of curiosity, why should companies be even refunding money for games that you didn't like, unless its extremely broken like Cyberpunk 2077?

Just wait for reviews and then buy, why expect them to issue refund if you didn't like it? How does one even buy a wrong game/DLC accidentally? There are so many hoops you need to jump through- add to cart, checkout page, payment, otp, etc. It isnt as simple as Buy Now with amazon pay wallet where it gets deducted instantly.

Favorable consumer laws in the largest markets (US/UK/EU/AU, etc.). I'm sure they would've liked to avoid the refund if they could too :D

They probably also have breakers built in. If returns for a product cross 8% (just a guess), it gets pushed up as a potential product issue.

Sony has lowered my expectations with PS Plus games so much that getting Control UE for free is mind blowing lol

Good lineup overall all though, will happily add them to my library and forget about them for a few months :fear1:

I haven’t played it at all. Installed and kept in anticipation of next gen update on Feb

Easy refund then. Just tell them that you weren't aware that GP version exist and you want to play that version. So want refund for UE version.  You can also tell them that you havnt touched UE version coz you want refund.

Nah, not salty or feeling anything really. Just repeating what you said. Not even defending Sony (How you got that from my post I don't know - did not mention Sony anywhere at all; and I always maintained PCs were best for refunds not PS)

@HundredProofSam Really try for refund. You might just get through.

Various pro-consumer rules especially in EU (All refunds started from EU Court Decisions). Another one is also being considered I guess - you are free to sell anything you buy. It's one of the Central Tenets of Ownership that's there since purchases were implemented by humans. Something that Digital ownership explicitly violates. Soon enough, you might have court decisions allowing sale of digital goods as well. In fact, I would not be surprised if refunds are a pre-cursor to that. No terms and Conditions can over-ride laws in any part of the World anyway AFAIK.

Because unlike other mediums, you do not get the trial run for majority of the games. You rely on advertisements, footage from streamers and reviewers to tell you how it is. And then sh*t like 2077 happens, you see all pretty graphics, assholes with yellow chairs give it a 10/10, and then you get it in your hands and you realize it plays like a turd. The amount of bait n switch the gaming industry does, refund policy is more relevant here than anywhere else. There's a reason why most AAA publishers don't do pre-release demos anymore.

As i mentioned, unless the game is as broken as Cyberpunk.

Most people want to refund them as they didn’t like it, which seems like no reason to emtertain refunds.

Well the reason they bought it in the first place was because they thought they'd enjoy it based on the footage and opinions. Pretty sure if there was a demo, they wouldn't buy it in the first place. I have a graveyard of unfinished games I bought because they "looked like fun". Mostly on non-Nintendo platforms because Nintendo still does demos for majority of their games. You don't want refunds? that's fine. Let me try it for 30 min then.

Yes demo should be there mandatorily and not as preorder bonus. I agree with that. Like SE did for FF7 remake and trials of mana remake
