Well it is a streaming service first, and there's no PS5 games on NOW because there's no PS5s in datacentres to stream them in the first place.

I thought you could download games from psn now. It’s only streaming ?

Same thought, PSNow is still streaming only for all games ? Damn I thought there was download option... Streaming anyway gonna ruin the experience..

You can download PS4 and PS2 games, but the mandate is to be able to stream all games regardless. And you can't stream PS5 games yet. There's no download only games on Now.

Unfortunately, no. 

 

Sony is locking PS5 upgrade paths for ps plus and ps now games. 

Suck a dick move. 

 

We need to own the game to get the free upgrade.

There was a time when people thought Xbox smart delivery was a scam :rofl:

I’m not sure how effective that is from Microsoft. 

 

Sony is treating haptic feedback and adaptive triggers like royalty features. 

PS5 owners already paid the adopter fee to next gen by investing in hardware and games. So they should be allowed to get these upgrades for free. 

Also, they made it seem like PS5 upgrade path is going to be straightforward, when they talked about backwards compatibility. 

Now it’s just too complicated.

PS5 upgrades are free for PS+ players as well.

To make use of these PS5 upgrades, I would have to install these games on the PS5 hard drive, right? I currently have default setting for PS4 games install as my external hard disk.

So for Days Gone, Zombie Army 4, Ratchet & Clank, God of War etc. I need to copy them to my PS5 hard drive? Thanks in advance.

I’m not sure,mostly I believe you can run them from the external HDD 

just that the loading will take longer as it does on a PRO 

 

I am using T7 SSD, the loading difference is non differentiable  between the native PS5 hard disk and it.

I didn't read the post properly, which was specifically asking about the Zombie game. 

Thought it was for the ps now games.
