Mgs 1 and 2 should be overhauled in toto. 

 

 

Mgs3 surprisingly is still playable. Though the controls are a tad wonky.

Checked some gameplay videos of first 2, and you're right, it hasn't aged well. Shame, this is one of those games that could use a reboot/remake.

Update: We're making fantastic progress with our launch efforts and I wanted to update you on the
latest. We're rolling out our new offering for PlayStation Plus a little earlier in select markets in Asia,
followed by Japan. Here is a look at our updated regional rollout schedule.
 

Asia markets (excluding Japan) – targeting May 23, 2022

Japan – targeting June 1, 2022

Americas – targeting June 13, 2022

Europe – targeting June 22, 2022

mgs used a top down view using a 2d’ish movement system. Syphon filter was a proper 3d game like tomb raider etc and very very few 3d games of that era are playable without being frustrating

I played the OG MGS on my PS Vita about 6-8 years ago (during Vita's prime years as a legendary back-compat/indie device) and I loved the experience of playing it. It was my first MGS game. I was so hooked to MGS that I then played the MGS 2 and 3 HD Collection. And those are all the MGS games I've played.

 

Will MGS4 be available as a PS3 streaming game as part of the revamped PS+? Or has it been taken off from Sony's servers or something due to Konami being idiots during the whole fiasco a few years ago? I remember even MGS1 was removed from the PS3 and PS Vita stores so no new players could buy those games. I still have access to MGS1 since it's in my download list on PS Vita.

It’s a part of PSNow as we speak.

But I don’t think streaming will be possible anytime soon in India. 
 

You’ll have to migrate to a first world country if you want to play it.

 

Or source an old PS3.
